After crying my eyes out last night, I was ready for the pool party to begin. I knew the dark lord had better things to do than disturb a teenage pool party and I think my parents understood that I was going to make the party happen one way or another.
The party started at two and it was ten right now so I had a lot to do in preparation. Alayna would be here at noon so I had to eat and get my chores done quickly.
I didn't speak to my parents much as I did my jobs. They knew I was right in that the dark lord had no business showing up to a high school party but they wholeheartedly believed he would.
The more I thought about it, I felt that way too but I wasn't going to cancel the most awaited party of the year on a gut feeling.
As I was cutting a pineapple for lunch, there was a knock on the door and I opened it to see Alayna. I had texted her the whole situation last night while I was bawling my eyes out.
"Hey KK!" She pulled me into a hug.
"Hey I was just cutting a pineapple. Want some?"
"Yes please!"
We walked to the kitchen and I finished cutting the fruit. We ate almost all of it but saved a little for later.
We went outside and cleaned the pool, outdoor kitchen, and deck chairs. My backyard was pretty big so it kept us occupied for a while. We blew up a bunch of pool floats with the help of some magic and by then, it was time to change.
We went up to my room and looked for the best bikinis we could find. "I want something more colorful. I usually do the black swimsuit but I want something different today." Alayna said while looking at her options.
"Maybe I do something colorful too then." I turned on a light so we could see better.
We finally settled on our winners.
I choose a simple green and white bikini set.

We headed back downstairs and went into the back to open the side gate. Draco and Theo were already back there.
