"Confringo." Sebastian exclaims as the small pile of wood springs into life with flames.
We all sit around the makeshift campfire near the shore of the Black Lake. Free from any Dug Bogs, nasty things are my least favorite beasts.
"I suppose I'll go to school, train to become a Professor and teach here at Hogwarts.." Ominis says, swirling around a small conjured glass of fire whiskey.
"Professor? You? Ominis Gaunt?" Sebastian says with a lazy smile on his face. He's about four glasses in already. Where does it go in him? I shall never know, perhaps all the weight and muscle he put on over the past year.. Mmm, those muscles..
I stare at him as he lifts his arms to link his hands behind his head. "Professor Gaunt. Has a nice ring to it. What would you teach, Ominis?" He turns his head to look at our friend.
"Defense Against the Dark Arts." Ominis mumbles sort of quietly. Mine and Anne's heads both snap in his direction.
"Defense Against the Dark Arts? I mean.. that's amazing, but.. why would you Ominis? You hate the Dark Arts." I ask him.
"It is true, the reasons I despise it because of my family. You two know this better than anyone." He says in mine and Sebastian's direction. "After last year, I decided. There needs to be more knowledge in the Dark Arts. There needs to be more teaching in how to protect yourself against it, but also to understand it entirely. The history of it."
"Well, well, well.." Sebastian smiles smugly, pulling his hands down from the back of his neck to cross his arms in front of his chest. "Isn't this a lovely change of events."
"Oh, do shut it Sebastian." Anne snaps at him, then turns back to Ominis. "I think it's a lovely idea. You'll do amazing at it, Ominis. You have a knowledge behind the Art that no one else does. I think you'd be a fantastic DADA professor."
"Thanks, Anne. What about you? Since you have so much to say about my goals." Ominis asks in Sebastian's direction.
"Hmm, I hadn't actually thought about it too much. Maybe write a book or something.." Sebastian looks over at me and reaches his arm out, squeezing my thigh. "Y/n and I have plans to travel, and something else as well.." He smiles at me. That whiskey must be giving him some fiery courage at this point.
"Yes, traveling." I push his hand off my thigh, playfully. He wouldn't dare mention our plan to vow to each other right here in front of everyone. He chuckles at me.
"What about you, my sweet, sweet pain in the ass sister?" Sebastian turns to Anne.
"Oh, uh.." She throws a side eye at Felix then glances down at her hands which play with the rim of her glass. "Maybe just stick around for a bit. I'll probably have more catching up on classes once you three leave." She says, finally looking up at us once again.
"Felix?" Felix looks up at me from leaning against a tree. He has been quiet this whole time, staring at the fire. "You've been quiet. What're your plans after this year? Mr. 7th year."
Felix sighs and flexes his long arms before him, stretching. "Not much baby sister. I'll be staying at the Manor, I'd like to stay in one place for a while you know. You're all welcome to come as much as you'd like."
"You won't get lonely at all there?" I ask him, looking over at Anne who is blushing in the flame of the fire, from more than just the fire whiskey.
"No. I don't believe so, I think I'll have plenty to do there in my free time." He smirks in the distance at Anne, Sebastian notices this and chokes on his drink. I stand up immediately.
"I'm getting kind of hot around the fire. Come on, love." I say, tugging against Sebastian's arm.
"Alright, alright. Fine." He staggers to stand up with me, and we take off on a walk hand in hand.
