We lead Ominis up to the Room of Requirement. "Where on Earth are you two taking me? This better not be some way of tricking me into your ridiculous scheming." He complains.
"Oh do be quiet Ominis, please." We stop outside the brick wall which slowly starts turning and revealing the entrance.
I reach forward to grab Ominis' hand, our forearms pressed together as I lead him in. He lets me which is surprising, and Sebastian follows us.
I lead him into the center of the room, still holding his hand as I turn to him. "Ominis, I've truly enjoyed your friendship this past year. As much as you've been hard on me, you've pushed me in the right direction many times. I'm grateful for a friend like you."
"Are you leading me to my death?" Sebastian barks out a laugh behind me. My face immediately falls and I drop his hand.
"I'm being nice you insufferable ass! So much for making this moment meaningful. This is my Room of Requirement, Ominis." I stop, taking a look around. "I only shared this with Sebastian not too long ago. This is my place of sanctuary. Everything you could ever possibly need to study and practice magic is in here. There's a Vivarium," I turn my head to look towards it. "I have many magical beasts in there. I think you'd actually quite like it. And Deek, a house elf, helps to take care of it here."
Sebastian and I stand in a comfortable silence, letting Ominis walk around and take it all in. He looks impressed. "I've had the entryway enchanted, only Sebastian and I could enter. And now you as well. You may come and go as you please."
His head darts up in my direction, mouth slightly parted, then composes himself. "Thank you, y/n. I shall use the space wisely." Well, for Ominis that's about as good as it gets. "Now, what did you have to discuss?"
I begin to explain to Ominis the information that Sebastian is already aware of, both regarding Felix and the update from Sharp.
"There was a moment between Felix and I this afternoon-" Sebastian sits upright at this.
"A moment?" He asks.
"Yes, I was making my way down to the common room after you left for Divination. I wasn't paying much attention and bumped into him at the bottom of the stairs. He tried to block my path, insisting that we introduce ourselves to each other." Sebastian's jaw is clenching. "He reached out his hand to shake mine, and as our hands were about to touch there was a shock between our skin."
"A shock? He touched you?" Sebastian asks, but Ominis cuts him off.
"Do you believe this was your magic responding to it?" Ominis asks.
"I do. I'm not sure what it means or what it's responding to exactly. But I know that it was my magic." I say to him. I look back at Sebastian who is fuming. "Oh calm down, it was an introductory. There was nothing more to it."
He crosses his arms and leans back in his chair. "Yet." He mutters under his breath.
"Yet? Do you not trust me Sebastian?" I furrow my brows at him.
"I trust you completely. It's him I don't trust. There's something about him that's entirely off." He leans forward onto his knees, looking off into the distance.
"Obviously." I say staring into nothing as well.
"You two were made for each other." Ominis smirks in our direction.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Sebastian and I both look at him.
"You're both imbeciles." He throws his hands on the air. This warrants a smile between Sebastian and I.
