CHAPTER 10 - The Battle Frontier Cup!

THE BATTLE FRONTIER CUP!

Note: This chapter is highly based off on Pokémon Journeys episode 7 or episode 1092. Which is called Serving up the Flute Cup! And in this chapter you will see that Ash's team is different.

Dear Leah, it has been a crazy week in Galar. Full of surprises and you can never expect what's going to happen and things don't go as planned, which is one of the reasons I adore traveling. Oh and I am sorry I haven't been writing to you lately, there have been things happening so much lately. Remember when I said that Charles has a girlfriend? We've paid a visit to her, well, technically Charles received a message that she was back from her research and that he wanted to see ASAP. We went back to Wedgehurst and met Sonia. She was a really nice and kind woman to us. But out of nowhere, she just dragged me away from the rest and brought me to an area nothing but bookshelves. The weirdest part is that she gave me a book about the Arata region, yeah our region! The crazy part is, those books about our regions were supposed to be in Chairman Rose's possession but apparently, Sonia snatched that book and secretly kept it until she met me. But other than that, Sonia told us that Galar's strongest gym leader wanted to see Charles again and it was in Hammerlock! We went there and to our surprise, we met another gym leader as well, who is from Ballonlea. Another thing I find weird, is that when I introduced myself to Raihan, the strongest gym leader, he said that I reminded him of a woman he knows. He couldn't be thinking what I was thinking, right? Oh yeah and did I mention that Charles and Raihan have been best friends since childhood? After that, the two of them had a single pokémon battle and the one who earned victory was Charles. After watching their battle and remembering the one he had against Ash back in Alola, I am starting to think that Charles isn't just any regular pokémon trainer. If you think that was the end of the crazy day, think again. Because after we rented a room in a hotel, Charles thought it was a good idea to wander around in Hammerlock at night. After a few minutes, Solar, Eclipse and I decided to look for him instead. I was about to follow them, until Zoroark sensed a strong presence of a pokémon. While I was following Zoroark, I accidentally bumped into someone and you wouldn't guess who I stumbled upon. Leon! I asked for his assistance to help me find Charles and he accepted, such a kind man. With his help, we went to the Slumbering Wield, a dangerous forest that's not recommended for trainers to go in but Leon and I went anyway, since Charles was held captive there. When the two of us went inside, I was already getting sleepy but thankfully, Leon was rubbing my hand with his thumb and helped me stay awake. Charizard and Zoroark started to get alert and stood in front of us. When I took a peek, I saw a figure on the ground. I didn't think and just acted, I rushed to the person, ignoring Leon and the Pokémon telling me to stop. I made it and it was indeed Charles on the ground. Little did we know, Leon and I, including our Pokemon, fainted on the ground. I'll tell you what happens later on, since we are landing in the Hoenn region, I love you!

"Can someone explain why we went to the Hoenn region again?" Azalea sighed.

"For five times already Azalea, I promised I am going to cheer on Ash and Goh during the Battle Frontier Battle Cup." Charles shook his head.

"And this is my opportunity to record the first ever champion of the Alola in action!" Solar's eyes sparkled, his rotom phone in his hand.

"Oh, I completely forgot about his status." Eclipse nervously laughed, scratching the back of her head.

They followed Charles on finding the little kids. While they were searching for them, Charles noticed from afar, a trainer with his Hariyama.

'He looks powerful.' Charles thought to himself.

Little did he know, he started to move towards him, without realizing that he's separated from the others. When he saw the trainer, he looked who he was talking to and to his surprise, it was Ash!
