BONDS BEYOND BORDERS
It was a rainy day in the Hoenn region and the quadruplets were trying to look for a place to take shelter for the time being. Since they are near Eclipse's town, they decided to stay at their place. Eclipse knocked on the door, hoping someone would answer. The door opened and it was their father.
"Eclipse, Solar, you're all soaked." His father widened his eyes, noticing how wet his children and his friends were.
"Come inside." The father walked back and let Solar and his friends enter.
"Thank you sir for your hospitality." Charles sighed in relief.
"It's a pleasure." The father smiled.
All of them came inside the house and the father gave them some towels.
"Ho-ho, a Zoroark." The father kneeled down and patted its head.
Zoroark!
(Hello)
While the girls and the boys changed their wet clothes to their sleepwear, Zoroark, Mudkip and Eevee were having fun with Solar's parents' pokemon. It was now time for dinner and everyone settled down.
"Thanks for the food." Said the quadruplets.
"By the way, Solar. There's something I wanted to ask you." Azalea looked at Solar, who was feeding his Mudkip.
"Hmm?" Solar hummed.
"I was wondering, why didn't you pick your Starter here in the Hoenn region and instead, had to go to the Arata region?" Azalea asked him, which made Solar and his family surprised.
"Yeah, I wondered that too. Mudkip is one of the starters here in the Hoenn region." Charles nodded.
"Uh..well you see.." Solar averted eyes, acting nervous.
"You don't have to tell us if you don't want to." Charles reassured him, in case he was uncomfortable.
"No, I'll tell you." Solar sighed.
He looked at his parents, who looked like they wanted him to tell his friends. Solar took a deep breath and...
"The whole purpose of going to the Arata region was so I could find someone." Solar said.
Charles tilted his head. "Finding someone? Are they a champion or an elite four?"
"My..idol." Solar breathed out, staring at Azalea. Charles looked at her with a confused pikachu face.
Azalea and Charles were shocked, Azalea was even more surprised than him. She never would have thought that she was Solar's idol.
"The Tacita conference was the first League my brother watched. Ever since he watched you and Zoroark battle, Solar always wanted to meet you." Eclipse said, her chin resting on her hand.
"W-Wow, Eclipse told me that you saw my battle in the conference but I didn't know it was that much of a big deal." Azalea said, not knowing how to react to it.
"Because of how amazing you were and how calm when you gave out an order to Zoroark, you inspired me to become a pokémon trainer." Solar smiled, as he petted Mudkip.
"Damn gurl, looks like you've got yourself an admirer." Charles laughed, playfully punched Azalea's shoulder.
"So that's why you wanted to get your first Pokémon in the Arata region." Azalea sighed in realization.
"Because of how much my son looks up to you, his love for Pokémon grew stronger than ever." Solar's mom chuckled, smiling fondly at Azalea.
"And now that our son is traveling alongside you. We ask you to take good care of our son and teach him many things about Pokémon." Solar's dad looked over at Azalea, then at Charles.
