Jade (POV)
I woke without my back hurting. I had slept so well last night in my new bed.
A comfortable bed for my back.
I was relieved
Kade was still sleeping.
I got up and took my shower.
All my clothes were too small for me.
Just had spent my job money on getting Kade, so new shoes and clothes and a few things for myself Then the rest had to go to Johnny for bills.
I smelled bacon coming from downstairs. My stomach immediately began growling
" Food is ready " Someone said at my door
I woke up Kade and we walked downstairs together
" Just sit. I'll fix y'all a plate " a woman said looking at the both of us
" Thank you ma'am" I said as I sat down and sat Kade down beside me
Our plates were sat in front of us. I picked up my fork and Kade sat there
" Eat " I said looking at him
" Are we aloud to eat yet? " He asked looking at me
" You can eat whenever and how much ever you want. Okay Kid? " Chad said sitting down at the table
Kade nodded as he ate his food and then fruit
This tasted delicious!.
I wanted seconds but I didn't want too seem greedy.
Kade got seconds as I got up and went into the kitchen and began cleaning up
" What are you doing? " The lady asked looking at me
" Oh, I figured this is the least I could do. You did cook for us " I said smiling
" She's the maid, she gets paid to do all that " Chad said looking down from some papers he held
" Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't know " I said looking at her
" It's fine " She said smiling.
I slowly walked away and then waited for Kade to get done.
As he drunk his drink. I began walking away.
I heard something break. " Please don't leave me! " Kade said as he ran to me crying
I turned around too see around my leg.
" Kade, You know I wouldn't leave you " I said picking him up.
" Yes you were! "He said crying on my shoulder
" I'm sorry " I said as I walked to the dinning room and saw the broken glass
" It's okay " The lady said looking at me and kade
" Let me pick up this stuff " I said to him
I slowly bent down and began picking up the glass.
Kade stood above me crying.
I felt something touch me and I jumped. " Deal with Kade. She'll clean it up " Chad said standing above me
" Thank you " I said looking at him
He helped me up and I grabbed Kade hand. ' pick me up! " He cried as we walked out of the dining room
" I can't. It hurts. Now listen to me Kade " I said as we walked to the living room
I sat down on the couch and he sat in my lap.
" Just because I have to go somewhere doesnt mean I'm going to leave you. I love you too much to leave you " I said looking at him as he laid his head down on me
" Mom left because of me didn't she? " he asked
" No. Mom left because of mom. She doesn't matter anymore. You have me! " I said looking at him as I laid back on the couch
He nodded his head
" Now give me a kiss " I said
He looked up and gave me a snotty kiss
He leaned back down and laid on me until he fell asleep.
I Couldn't move. He was too heavy
" Looks like you need some help? " Chad said walking into the room
I smiled as he took Kade and then he helped me. " You shouldn't be picking him up " Chad said too me
" I know, he's just going through some things and I don't want to see him cry " I said as we walked upstairs
" I understand, as long as it isn't hurting the baby " He said looking at me
" She's fine " I said rubbing my belly
" When is the last time that you've went to the doctor? " He asked me as he followed me into the room
" when I was 6 months. I found out I was having a girl " I said looking at him
" How many months are you now? " he asked looking at me
" 8 months " I said laying Kade down on the bed
" well when he wakes up. We're going to the doctor " he said walking out of the room
I laid beside Kade and slowly feel asleep.
Kade woke up thirsty.
I walked with him downtairs and heard some people talking as I walked by the door
" Mom, she has no where to go!. Do you understand that " Chad said looking at hert
" She is damaged! You think she'll fit into our family?!. You should really watch who you sleep with. This is a lesson learned, now you have to take care of her bastard brother also ! " she said back
" Do you think I got her pregnant on purpose!?. I would have gotten anyone else pregnant!. I didn't mean to! If I could I'd take it back alright, but I can't. And Kade is the sweetest little boy you'd ever meet " He said yelling
" You fucking fix this, I don't want those type of people in my family! You screwed this up. You have a month before I tell her myself " I heard her say
I walked away from the door and into the kitchen.
I gave Kade some water and then we went back upstairs.
I got dressed for work. " Where are we going? " kade asked looking at me
" I'm going back to work. You can go to Kaitlyns ". I said as we began walking downstairs
" Oh, hello. You must be Jade and this must be Kade " the woman said standing in front of us
" Jade, this is my mother. Julie " he said looking at me
I stared at her and then looked away.
" I'm going to work "
" No, you have an appointment !" Chad said walking towards me
" I'll save up money to pay for my own appointment. Thank you though! " I said
" Then keep Kade here. And I'll take you "
" I'm fine. I need the fresh air " I said
" Kade, do you want to stay with me " he asked looking at him
Kade looked at me " You can if you want to. I'll be back " I said looking at kade
" I'll go with you " he said looking at me.
" We'll be back later on tonight " I said walking out the door
