There was a family meeting called and everyone made there way into the living room.
I sat on the couch holding Madi and Kade sat beside me.
" This meeting is about one thing " Chad's mother said looking at me
My heart began pounding.
I looked down and pulled kade closer.
" It's about You staying here " she said
Chad stood there with his arms crossed and held his head down.
" Now that they are staying with us. CPS is going to be coming to our home for a year. Checking on Kade "
"When has her problems became ours?! " Chad's sister said
" Excuse me? " I said
" Shut up! " Chad said looking at me.
He rolled his eyes and walked out.
I knew this wasn't a good ideal.
" Now that they're staying with us we have a few rules. " She said looking at me
I nodded my head
" When you start working which should be in a couple of weeks. You will pay us half of what you make and we will put it in your child's saving account. . " she said
I nodded my head.
" Y'all aren't aloud to eat with us, y'all can eat after everyone has left the table and finished eating. " she said
I nodded my head again.
" I'm glad you've gotten everything through your head. You aren't staying here for free. You will help the maids around the house. If you want to go anywhere in my house. You ask me. Do you understand? " she said looking at me
I nodded my head
" Words! " she snapped
" Yes ma'am " I said quickly
" meeting over " she said
I grabbed Kades arm and we slowly walked back to our room.
I sat on the bed and held back my tears.
I don't understand why no one likes me. Everyone I meet hates me. Better off if I was just dead.
I laid Madi down and walked into the restroom and began cutting my thigh area.
I wrapped it up as I sat there. I heard Madi crying and I walked out.
I changed her diaper and fed her.
Our lunch was ready and we went out in ate as everyone walked out the kitchen. We sat down and ate.
I didn't eat much, I wasn't feeling to well.
Chad walked in and didn't say anything to us. He just grabbed Madi and took her upstairs.
Maybe we made him upset.
I cant leave. Madi is too small and I don't want CPS to take Kade away from me.
So I will toughen it out. .
Kade and I got up and went back to my room.
" Can I go play? " he asked me
" I have to go ask " I said looking at him.
" Jade, come here! " I heard someone yell.
I jumped and walked into the living room.
I walked by the door. " Your friend is not aloud to come by here! " she said looking at me as she opened the door.
I nodded my head and walked out the door.
" Kaitlyn! " I said slowly walking to her.
She smiled and hugged me " I didn't even know you had the baby until I heard from someone in town! " she said upset
" I'm sorry. I've been out of it lately " I said smiling
" So you got those guys arrested!. I heard what happened it's in the newspaper " she said
" Newspaper!?" I said panicking
" Don't worry, it doesn't say a name but I put the pieces together " she said looking Kade as she picked him up
" I'm glad you came by to see us ! " I said hugging her
" Are you okay? " she asked
" Yes!. I'm fine. How are you? " I asked
" Good, but I came by to tell you something. I'm moving " she said
My heart fell " You're my only family " I said
" I found my births mom and she wants to meet me " she said
" Come back inside " Chads mom said looking at me
I looked down and looked at Kaitlyn
" You're letting these people rule you?! " she said
" Please don't. They're all I have. You have a family. " I said
" Now " Chad's mother said
" Love you " I said to Kaitlyn.
I went in to hug her and she backed away.
" Kaitlyn! " I said looking at her confused
" I don't know who you are " she said as she walked away from me.
I looked back and walked back inside.
" Next time you don't do what I say when I say it your gone!. Understood? " she said looking at me.
" Yes ma'am " I said as I walked back into my room
