I forgot about her hitting me. It was yesterday and I wasn't going to put my kids in jeopardy of not having a place to stay .
Halloween was coming up also . I needed to buy them both a costume.
I got ready for work today and I walked downstairs .
Chads mom wasn't here , so I wrote her a note saying we're I was going and when id be back .
We took off walking .
I was tired . I just wanted to sleep but that was out of the question
I dropped my kids off and went to work .
I worked hard until closing and people decided to stay an extra 20 minutes later. Which I didn't leave until almost 1
I picked up my kids , who were both sleeping and we went back to the house. I was tired . I walked up into the porch and tried to open the door but it was locked . I banged on the door multiple times . Over and over .
Finally after my children wake up and half an hour felt like. Chads mother open the door
" What?" She asked
" I'm tired , may we please come in?" I asked walking towards the door
" Uh no. I had no idea you left and you are back way to late. You find somewhere to stay tonight and for the rest of the week . I'm not going to put up with this disrespect " she said slamming the door
" Are you kidding me! It's Almost 3 in the morning!" I said kicking the door
I walked away and down back into town.
I was pissed , I had enough to get us a motel tonight thank goodness.
It was more than half of what I actually had .
" Room for 1" I said walking up to the door
" Do I know you?" A guy asked looking at me
I looked at him " I don't know" I said quickly
" Okay room key" he said handing me a key
My kids and I walked into the room and we got ready for bed
I can't believe she didn't let us in .
I couldn't wait to get our own place .
I immediately nodded off to sleep .

" Why the hell do you think you can disrespect my mother ?!" Chad said as he got into my face as soon as we walked into the door
I just got off work and I was tired
" your mother is rude to me. She takes my money , locks us out of the house, she thinks she can treat me any kind of way" I said looking at him
I felt my cheek began burning and it wasn't until my children began crying that I knew what happen .
" Don't you ever talk down on my mother!. After all she's been helping you with!" He said yelling at me
I rubbed my cheek , I didn't expect that from Chad.
" Go in there and apologize to her right now!" He said snapping
Tears fell from my face as I tried to calm down my brother and also my child.
" I'm okay" I said wiping my tears away
I walked into the kitchen where chads mother stood fixing dinner
" I just wanted to apologize for the way I've been acting " I said looking at her
She didn't even turn around " yeah" she said quickly
" I hope you can forgive me " I said looking at her as I turned away
" Let's just make one thing clear. Your kind and my kind don't mixed and it would be best if you didn't add on to your problems" she said walking out the kitchen
I stood there shocked..
My kind?
Her kind ?
What does that even mean?. We are both human .
I walked back into the living room and kissed my kids. Soon we will leave this hell hole
