The dim light of Seungmin's lamp shone dully in the room.
Jeongin was laying on Seungmin's bed, inhaling the similar scent of coffee.
He really missed this room and it had been quite some time since he had ever been inside here again.
He would've felt a bit happy to spend time with his hyung again if he didn't have to face Minho.
Tears kept making their way down Jeongin's face as he sniffled, his body trembling.
The sound of the bathroom opening and closing startled Jeongin but he did not dare move a limb since he knew it was Seungmin who had just come out of the shower.
The sight wasn't really surprising for Seungmin. Jeongin curled up in a small ball, probably crying.
"Sweetie," Seungmin called, in his usual calm voice as he approached Jeongin's figure.
He sat down beside the younger before putting his hands under Jeongin's armpits and lifting him up.
As he expected, Jeongin's face was shining with tears and his eyes were red, his lips quivered and his body trembled.
"Jeongin-ah," Seungmin said as he wiped Jeongin's face free of tears. "Crying isn't good for you."
"I know." Jeongin whimpered out as Seungmin pulled him in his arms.
"I know, my baby." Seungmin stroked the back of Jeongin's head. "It's okay. I know you're upset but crying is not the answer to your problems."
Jeongin only dug his deeper in Seungmin's chest.
Seungmin sighed. "I promise you, angel. You will live. I won't let them kill you. But you're gonna have to come down with me for the meeting tonight."
Jeongin immediately looked at Seungmin with teary eyes as he shook his head. "No, I do not want to be there."
Seungmin cupped the younger's cheek in his hand. "I know you're scared. But it's only for a little while, I will be with you. Okay? Be brave, Innie."
Jeongin nodded before being pulled back into another warm hug.
"Hyung, can we stay like this for a little while?"
Seungmin nodded. "Sure."
--------------------------------
It had been a lot for Minho to go through. He was surprised how fast the night and day had passed.
It was evening and his day had been pissing him off. It was quite a normal thing for Minho to be angry. He got angry over many things.
But this time it was. This time he couldn't take them out on something.
He went into the kitchen, opened the fridge to find himself something light to eat. But as soon as the cold air and the scent of food reached his nostrils, he found himself closing it, again.
He sat down at the dining table, silence being louder than his own breathing.
It felt like something was missing.
It was probably the reason for his anger. Strangely, he didn't even know why he was angry now.
It couldn't be Chan. He was their leader and he had every right to decide what should be done with Jeongin since he was the one who let Jeongin stay here.
It couldn't be Seungmin, though he got annoyed by how close he was to Jeongin. But oddly, even though he knew that Jeongin trusted Seungmin more than Minho, Minho wasn't mad at Seungmin.
That anger was Jeongin. Only Jeongin. Yang Jeongin, the son of Yang Haneul.
Minho always wanted to sleep with Jeongin but he never thought he'd ever want to sleep with only the son of Yang Haneul.
The man who destroyed his family and childhood.
The sound of light footsteps reached Minho's ears and he looked up to see who was walking in the kitchen.
Part of him felt as though something literally ripped out of his, carrying out almost half of the organs he needed to survive. Yet, he was still alive just by the sight of the beautiful angel in front of him.
Jeongin stood in front of him, his beautiful blonde hair, combed neatly and he was dressed in Seungmin's loose clothes.
Minho felt as though what was missing was right in front of him.
And the anger that he thought he felt for Jeongin was now gone.
But, Jeongin looked at though he had seen a ghost when he laid his eyes on Minho. Or worse, the fear written across his face looked as though he had seen his father.
It took Minho less than a second to realise that Jeongin was now afraid of him.
Is that how Jeongin looked? So small, vulnerable and easily breakable when he was with his father. Was that how scared he looked when his father would beat him up? When he was left with scars that Minho kissed?
"I-I ...." Minho spoke. "I'm not gonna hurt you."
Jeongin only nodded, showing that he understood.
"Well," Minho got from the table, knowing that if Jeongin was here to eat something, he wasn't going to if Minho was there. "I'm gonna leave."
He quickly passed by Jeongin, noticing how the younger flinched immediately.
But Minho just walked out of the kitchen and towards his room despite wanting to go back to Jeongin and pull him in his arms.
But he knew it would only scare him or worse, make him cry.
It felt as though Minho and Jeongin were strangers once again.
He missed when he used to have Jeongin's trust. When he could touch Jeongin, kiss him and sleep with him.
He missed all of that and he wanted all that back.
Minho wanted his Jeongin back.
