“RING!!!!!!!!”
I awoke to the sound of a phone ringing. I looked at the clock, it was 4:17 a.m.
Who would call this early?
“Caleb honey wake up, can you get the phone it’s ringing.”
“Mhm...yeah.”
Caleb walked to the dresser while I sat up in bed.
“Oh ok, calm down it’s ok they’ll be ok. Alright let me call someone to come watch Maci me and Serena will be there soon. Love you it’s ok.”
“What was that about? And where are we going at four in the morning?”
He turned to me with a look on his face that showed both panic and fear.
“Caleb what is it?”
“It’s Savannah, Carlisle woke up this morning to go to work for a little bit before later, when they had to do the induction, but when he woke up he realized there was blood all over the sheets. Savannah was bleeding and she wouldn’t wake up so he is rushing her to the hospital. He wants us there.”
I sat there in shock.
This couldn’t be happening I saw her just yesterday she was fine dancing at the reception.
Now she was bleeding, oh no, the baby.
“Serena look at me it’s ok she’ll be ok. Come on can you call Maria I’m going to wake Maci.”
I got out of bed and as if in an auto pilot called Maria.
“Mhm, Serena what is it? It’s early your lucky I was up already to feed Jason.”
I couldn’t seem to get the words out there was something blocking my throat.
“Serena! What is it what’s wrong??”
I heard Chase come on the phone.
“Serena? Is it the baby?”
My breathing started to pick up but I still couldn’t talk.
“Serena take a deep breathe for me ok I think your having a panic attack. Where’s Caleb?”
I tried breathing deep breaths but it wasn’t working.
I heard Maria in the background saying to grab Jason and get in the car.
“Serena we're coming to your place ok honey, I’m gonna stay on the phone with you until we get there.”
I laid the phone down beside me and tried again to take deep breaths.
I heard Maci and Caleb walk past our room and go down stairs.
“Serena honey we're almost there.”
I heard a car pull into the driveway.
Then I heard people rushing in and Maria shouting.
“WHERE IS SERENA?!”
“Huh? I think she’s still upstairs, why?”
Maria didn’t respond she just came rushing up the stairs.
Then she was in front of me checking for something.
“Serena take a breathe for me honey.”
She sat beside me holding me.
Finally I took four deep breaths and spoke.
“Savannah…baby….blood…”
