"As we've said before, making the magic crests doesn't require much work", a list of materials accompanied by their appearance pops up on the screen, "Acquiring the materials to create each individual crest that makes this more difficult. I counted on the support of a tech company when I created the first one but now, I have to count on the four of y'all to get the materials".
The length of the list leaves Abraham surprised, "I'm only seeing four things on this little shopping list of yours"
"There's really not that much one needs for a magic crest. Years of research and picking apart corpses led to us figuring out what each crest is composed off, we of course had to add a synthetic material to make sure ours could closely replicate the original", this seems to satisfy Abraham's surprise as I turn for more questions.
Carter shakes his head as he smiles, "Is this why you told Abraham that the one you made had a chance of frying his nervous system?"
"Well it was never going to fail but, it was better to be safe than sorry", we were rather fortunate that Abraham had seemingly already awakened a portion of his latent magical abilities and even then the risk was still there and I basically took a gamble by undergoing the procedure.
Eve raises her hand, "And what exactly do these crests do?"
Pointing to the symbol engraved into her hand, "Exactly what yours does. The magic crest serves as a conduit for channeling and controlling magical forces, allowing its user to tap into the boundless realms of mystic power". I point to Five's prosthetic arm relic, "Five's arm is essentially a magic crest powered by the mystical energy of Fenrir the wolf spirit", I look back at Eve, "So the crest can come in many forms but it's purpose is the same, a conduit in which one can tap into powers that one can only dream of".
"Quite the eloquent exposition you gave them Milo", Grealish comes out from the improvised medical room, "Indeed cracking the mystery of the magic crest was impossible according to many mages of my time but it seems science is catching up to us".
Milo smirks, "Anyways back to the matter at hand, these are the things we'll need. Arcanite Crystal which acts as a natural conductor and amplifier of magical energy, Spellweave Silk in order to bind each crafted piece of the crest, Mana Fibers which upon activation will spread through the body activating the latent potential in each member, and to finalize I'll need the blueprints to the crafting machine that I created".
Abraham raises both of his hands, "Woah there Milo. First tell us where we can get each of these things before you send us out with no information".
Carter laughs, "You seem really excited about this mission don't you Milo?"
"Well I finally get to show y'all the magic crest crafting process. There's a chance we might be able to further refine it and perhaps make it more stable compared to Abraham's. No offense".
Abraham smiles, "None taken. In fact, I look forward to seeing the results".
"Very well, the good news is that finding the materials won't be super hard. Conveniently they're closer than you think"
Five crosses his arms, "And the bad news?"
Miles sighs out, "Getting the materials requires we break into two locations, the first is the Luxtech's Alpha City Lab and the other is Yama Corporation's Information Storage Center".
Eve looks around, "That's not too bad...right?"
Milo laughs nervously, "The thing is that well...", a picture of a group of people following a girl appears on screen, "It seems the heir to the Luxtech business empire has decided to visit Alpha City to check on the new headquarters and how the company is running so far. This means security will be tighter than ever before and that's without taking into account her personal security".
