"Auntie, what is this?"

"Can't you see?"

"A ring? That's it?"

"You silly child, what do you mean by 'That's it?' That's a special ring that will lead you to reincarnation in another life."

"This ring?"

"But remember, everything that you wish for and want, there's a consequence."

...

"Ai'Gun"

A boy who was called from upstairs in his room suddenly awoke by his mother, forgetting the dream he had just experienced.

Again...

"Ai'Gun, what time will you wake up? It's already 7:00 am."

"Shia," a boy named Gun cursed loudly upon hearing his mother's reminder.

Gun, a Grade 12 student from Niyomsil High School and the band leader of the music club named Chinzhilla, asked his mom while tying his shoelaces, "Hey Ma, why did you only wake me up now? I'll be late."

"Silly child, why are you blaming me? You're already in Grade 12, a senior, yet you still act like you're in Grade 7," his mom scolded him while preparing the menu in their shop.

Gun's family is neither poor nor rich. His father works in another place and only comes home during Christmas or other special occasions, leaving Gun and his mother at home.

"Yeah, yeah, I know Ma. Stop scolding me. That's why my friends always tease me that I'm still a baby," Gun said, leaning in to kiss his mother's cheek.

"You act like a child, that's why," Gun's mom said.

"AWWW~~ Because I'm your only son, Ma," Gun said while hugging his mother.

"You're such a silly child. Go on now, you're already late,".

"Oh... Right. Goodbye, Ma. See you later," Gun said, running to school.

...

"Good morning, students. Welcome to Niyomsil High School. I hope you create good memories this school year."

"Blah blah blah."

"Ai, Win, can you please be quiet? If the principal hears you again, our band will be blamed," Phat said, a man with a short temper in the group.

"Guys, can't you see the benefits of the hours the principal spends?" Por, a man who is easy-going in the group and always thinks positively, said.

"What benefits?" Yo, a man who is always lazy in the group, asked.

"If she talks so much, the class hours will be reduced. Imagine our other hated subjects having fewer hours," Por laughed while holding his stomach.

"Ouch, Ai Phat, why are you hitting my head?" Por said, holding his head.

"Ai, idiot, you're already in Grade 12 and still don't remember how this school works. When the teachers miss their lessons, they give us assignments worth a month's activities," Phat scolded Por.

"You guys, you still haven't changed."

"Oh, so our baby is finally here. Why are you late?" Win teased Gun, who was late to line up.

"Stop it, Win. I'm only five minutes late," Gun said.

"So you didn't hear what the principal said before starting on other things?" Phat asked.

"What was it?" Gun inquired.

"Nothing much, she was just mentioning her son who studies in America and is transferring to Niyomsil High School this year. Let me guess, that man will be the favorite student," Phat said.

"Haha, so what's his name then?" Gun asked.

"Wait, if I heard correctly, I think it's Tinn... Ah, I remember, it's Tinnaphob Jirawatthanakul."

That concludes Chapter 1.

Oh, there's something I want to remind you. This story is fully in third-person point of view. As a Chinese novel reader, I'm not accustomed to character point of view (I'm sorry for that), but if the need arises or in an emergency (😂 lol), I will use it. For now, every chapter will be in third-person point of view.

Thank you so much for reading and stay tuned for the upcoming chapters. 🥺🥰
