"1..2...3.. Clear... No heartbeat again... 1...2...3.. Clear... No heartbeat again... 1..2..3.. Clear.."

"Doc?"

"What's the patient's name?"

"Li Ming Loetphong Nueangna-uam, Doc."

"Li Ming Loetphong-"

"Doc... There's a heartbeat again..." The nurse abruptly interrupted the doctor upon noticing the heartbeat returning on the monitor. Unbeknownst to them, tears were flowing from their patient's closed eyes.

...

"Arghh."

"Li Ming... Shiaaaa.... Li Ming, you're awake... P'Wen... P'Wen... Doc... Li Ming is awake!" Saleng's panicked voice echoed outside the hospital room as he saw Li Ming open his eyes.

When Saleng called for Wen and the doctor, Li Ming lost consciousness again due to dizziness and lack of proper health care.

...

"Mr. Wen... You just need to ensure he takes this medicine every day for a faster recovery... There's nothing wrong with his body because the other patient who was with him protected him from physical injuries in the accident... It's just a miracle that his heartbeat returned. So, you need to continue taking care of him. He may experience dizziness and weakness due to the medication's side effects, but it will aid in his recovery," the doctor explained Li Ming's situation to Wen.

"Then that's all, Mr. Wen... I'll take my leave now," the doctor said, waving to Wen.

"Thank you, Doc," Wen replied, waving back.

"Fortunately, he's safe, P'Wen... He woke up later than Uncle Jim. Uncle Jim was so stubborn earlier when he heard that Li Ming had finally awakened. Even the doctor scolded him not to force his body to move because of his disabled legs... Do you know, Phi, how he will react when he learns that Uncle Jim became disabled because of him?" Saleng expressed his concern for both of them.

"Let them face it together... They need to talk to each other," Wen said, looking at Li Ming.

"P'Sa.... P'Saleng..." Li Ming suddenly spoke up after waking up last week.

"Li Ming... Are you okay... Can you hear me?" Saleng approached Li Ming.

"Li Ming... Tell us how you feel," Wen added, moving closer to Li Ming.

"P'We.... P'Wen," Li Ming called out, looking at the man he recognized as P'Wen.

"We are here... Don't worry," Wen reassured Li Ming, holding his hand.

Emotional to see the people in front of him, Li Ming let go of his selfishness...

...

"Li Ming... Do you really want to see your uncle right now? I'm concerned that your body may not be able to handle it," Wen expressed his worry, pushing Li Ming's wheelchair as Li Ming's body was still weak and unable to walk to his uncle's room.

"I'm okay, P'Wen... Don't worry," Li Ming reassured Wen.

Once inside the room, they found Jim, lying in bed, asleep.

"Oh... He's asleep, Li Ming... Then I'll go buy something to eat. It's okay if I leave you here in your uncle's room," Wen said, pushing Li Ming's wheelchair closer to Jim's bed.

"It's okay, krub Phi," Li Ming replied, looking at Wen.

"Then wait for me here," Wen said before closing the door.

For a moment, Li Ming sat in silence, gazing at his uncle, who had suffered the most when he left him.

"Uncle....." Li Ming's hoarse voice called out, tears flowing as he spoke.

"Uncle... I'm sorry... Sorry for everything... I was selfish, only thinking of myself... I didn't see how worried and caring you were for me... Uncle... Thank you for always being there for me... For always sacrificing yourself... For always protecting me," Li Ming choked on his words, sobbing.

"Uncle...... Can I repay all your efforts in raising me... Can I be the one to cook for you, buy you a cake for your birthday, and make you happy... Uncle... Let me be the one to take care of you..." Li Ming expressed, burying his face in his uncle's hand, crying.

"This kid... Why are you crying?" Jim said upon seeing his nephew cry, unable to hide his own tears when he heard Li Ming's words.

"Uncle..." Li Ming called out, embracing his uncle.

"Stop crying, Li Ming," Jim said, gently rubbing his nephew's back.

"I'm sorry... Because of me, you became disabled," Li Ming continued, still hugging his uncle and crying.

"It's okay, Li Ming... It's all in the past," Jim reassured, embracing his nephew tightly.

"Oiiiii... P'Wen, why aren't you going inside?" Saleng's interruption broke the emotional moment, prompting Wen to wipe his tears as he witnessed the emotional exchange between nephew and uncle.

"Ai'Saleng.... Stop being noisy... Can't you see the situation?" Praew scolded Saleng for disrupting the touching moment between nephew and uncle.

Jim and Li Ming turned their attention to the noise outside and quickly wiped away their tears.

"Uncle Li Ming... Uncle Jim, khaaaaa~" an eight-year-old girl excitedly ran toward Li Ming and Jim.

"AeSal," Li Ming greeted the girl as she approached him.

"Kha~~~ Uncle Li Ming... I brought my homemade chocolate for you... My teacher said sweet food makes you feel better, so I brought you some," AeSal said, offering the chocolate to Li Ming.

"Thank you, AeSal, krub," Li Ming said, patting AeSal's head and smiling warmly at her.

The entire room was moved to tears as they witnessed Li Ming smiling again.
