"Ai'Saleng... Why did you only come back now at this late hour? I only asked you to buy the ingredients. Why did it take you so long?" Wen scolded the man who had left in the morning but only returned during the lunch break.

"Oiiiii... P'Wen... You're scolding me like Uncle Jim, really... Don't blame me... Blame the gossip vendor who kept talking while I was buying... But his story was quite interesting, so I listened... Phi... Do you know Kaipa, our chicken delivery man... Also your nephew?" Saleng said to Wen.

"Uhmmm... But he's only my distant relative, so I was never really close to him... I think I only talk to him if it's something special or important... Why?" Wen asked curiously, intrigued by how Saleng was telling the story in a mysterious and dramatic way.

"Kaipa is an adopted child, right... His mother is here in Thailand but originally from China... You know, Phi, that Chinese people always believe in some unrealistic things... They say she is a fortune-teller and a popular one... How great she is if-"

"Li Ming?!"

Saleng's story abruptly stopped when Wen called out Li Ming's name upon seeing him enter the "Moonlight Chicken" restaurant. Li Ming only smiled lightly at them.

"Li Ming," Jim called out as he saw Li Ming coming from the kitchen, but Li Ming just passed by him.

"Li Ming... Where have you been again... At first, you were lost for a week, and now I haven't seen you in a whole month... You know I'm so worried-"

"Uncle... You see me now, right," Li Ming said with an expressionless face.

After five years since Heart's passing, Li Ming had been like this. Sometimes he would only go home for 2-3 days, sometimes for a whole month, or sometimes he would forget to go home. Despite Li Ming always being like this for the past five years, Jim never grew tired of asking Li Ming every time.

When Li Ming spoke those words, Jim wanted to say more, but when he saw the lifeless and joyless eyes of his nephew, he stopped himself.

"Ahh... Uncle Jim... P'Wen... Li Ming... Tomorrow is the Krathong festival, right... Praew, AeSal, and I will float the basket in the river... Let's go so we can bond together again... Right, P'Wen," Saleng said awkwardly as he observed the situation between Li Ming and Jim.

"I can't go," Li Ming said as he left.

"Li Ming... Where are you going again... Li Ming... Li Ming," Jim called out, trying to stop his nephew.

"Hahhh... Let him be, Jim... He still... He still can't accept it," Wen said, signaling to Li Ming's actions.

Jim only looked at where Li Ming had gone. He couldn't blame Li Ming for his actions because he understood the pain of losing a lover.
