Lordy, life is exhausting. Anyone else feel that?

Anyway, I got the job at the newspaper. My first assignment was to write a 350-400 word article on- get this- my gym. So that was easy. My next assignment (I think) is going to be a rehearsal review of OLT, our local theatre, where I also used to work (I know everyone there), so that will also be easy. So far, I am enjoying this job. We'll see how it goes.

I saw this comedy routine that was like:

Baby Boomers: I would die for my country.
Millennials: I would die for my dog.
GenZs: I would die.

and, honestly, as a GenZ, I feel that on a very deep level. Ya'll older people talking like "Oh, well when I was your age I went swing dancing with my friends; all you ever do is sit on your phones" YEAH. We sit on our phones because you slapped a pandemic and a lockdown on us! What else were we supposed to do, go hunt dinosaurs in the Congo? We couldn't get there anyway because ya'll old people who are in charge of everything shut down almost all means of transportation so people 'wouldn't get sick'! Ya'll people act like parents. go watch some relatable parent TikTok compilations and see how many people agree with the TikTokers in the comments.

Anyway, enough about my parent rant. I have been trying to pull my life together, and somehow it's even more chaotic than when it was all a mess. At least now I can (sort of) predict the next chaos I must address.

Ok, I am going back to my adult rant because I have more to say.
I was watching some Asian, especially Korean people the other day, and I was like "How do these people know four languages and their job is being a Kpop idol??!!" Like, here in America, we have ten years of American history, while Stray Kids speaks like four languages? I have met kids from Africa who know more about the U.S than I do, and I have been stuck learning about the U.S for 10 years! Our education system is messed up.

Alright, enough with the rants. I have to go keep my life together!

Until next time!
Luci
