"Do you hate your father?" Old Master Gong asked.
"No," she said resolutely.
Old Master Gong raised an eyebrow and curiosity got the best of him as he asked "Why don't you hate him if he was not with you in your difficult times?"
"Why should I hate him when I don't even know him? The woman whom I and my brother called 'mother' has hidden countless things from us. Then, is it not possible that she has intentionally hidden us from our father? So, why would I blame him when I'm not even sure what was my mother upto? I don't have the right to blame him lest he has wronged my mother or us," she calmly expressed her opinion. She would have never said about all this to any strangers. But the Gongs had already investigated her to this point. So, what was the point of lying when they can see through it. It would only make her appear as a fool. She decided to tell them. Though, she could feel that they have no ill-intention but even if they plot something, she was always ready to face it head on. Will she admit defeat? Never in her entire life!
Furthermore, what she said was right. She didn't blame her father, atleast not until now when she has nothing against him. She has not spent much time with her mother yet she was close to her. There were some hazy memories in her mind when her mother used to call her 'Lali' and smile at her. Despite that, a fact she has always known was that her mother was never honest to them.
After some investigations, Lisa had an inkling of the situation. She didn't care about her mother's private life but that doesn't means her mother had the right to play with Kim Corps. Being the heiress of Kims, she had responsibility to manage the business well. But what did she do? She lied to their grandpa again and again and they were the ones who suffered because of her silly decisions. Being kind is one thing and choosing to be naive is other. Her mother chose to be naive. She could see the facts but won't accept it. Her IQ was exceptionally high but her own naivety made her a fool in life.
Whatever it is, she was sure that her mother has kept many secrets from them. So, what right does she have to blame the man who gave birth to them when her mother has always lied her entire life!
Gong Yoo and Old Master Gong were stunned by what they heard. They expected her to resent her father. But never in their wildest dreams had they thought that she would be so rational and smart even when faced with a dreadful past.
The pressure failed to crush her and the darkness failed to dim her light as she shined brighter than ever with a gloss. She became the priceless diamond !
She was always a diamond. It just took some hardships for her to shine.
Old Master Gong's heart was aching terribly when he saw the girl infront of him. With one look at her, he could say that she has suffered a lot to get to where she is today.
Gong Yoo clenched his fists as the rims of his eyes reddened. His chest was feeling stuffy leaving him suffocated.
The little girl who was supposed to be spoiled rotten has grown to be so strong and independent that it made their heart ache from extreme pain.
The princess who was meant to be pampered to the extent of walking on flowers had to face all the thorns of life.
After she finished talking, Lisa raised her head as she looked at both the men who were immersed in their thoughts. She frowned when she saw Old Master Gong's trembling hands. She grabbed his hand as she slightly shook him "Grandpa Gong, are you all right?"
The old man woke from his trance as he said "Lili, you are my....."
"Do you want anything, little girl?" Gong Yoo interrupted as he gave his father a 'this is for her own good' look.
Lisa shook her head.
Old Master Gong sighed as he quickly corrected himself "You are my granddaughter now so if anyone bullies you, you should come to me. I'll teach them a lesson. Alright?"
Warmth gushed in her heart as she slowly nodded her head. Though she wanted to ask many like why they investigated her and her brother but it will be an utter disrespect. Thus, she decided to ask that randomly someday so that they would not mind.
She was never dependant on anyone but yet it will always feel good to know that there are some people behind to catch you when you fall. It feels good when you know someone cares for you.
Lisa felt thirsty suddenly "Can I have some water?"
Gong Yoo nodded as he immediately made a call.
Inside the Presidential Suite, the three of them talked merrily like a family.
But outside, the scene was completely different as someone was burning with jealousy and rage. Why? Why did that woman get so much importance despite her being a slut who is just good at seducing men?
Just then, she saw a waiter holding a tray with a glass of water and two glasses of red wine walking towards the golden door.
Eunha's eyes flashed with a malicious intent as she stared at the glass of water. With her continuous observation, she has noticed that Lisa was not even touching alcohol. From the moment she entered, she had only taken a few sips of cocktail or water.
Furthermore, after Jin left, Lisa didn't touch any drinks. And Eunha has noticed it well. Finally, she got the chance to teach that bitch a lesson.
She grabbed the waiter's hand and dragged him towards a corner as she lifted her purse and opened it, slightly shaking it infront of the waiter.
The waiter's eyes shone upon seeing gold cards and lots of money in it. So, he followed her like a dog. Eunha inwardly smirked in victory when she saw his reaction 'Hehe...There is nothing that I cannot do.'
