"Call Jin," muttered Lisa as she drove towards office.
The automatic voice access swiped the contacts before connecting the call to Jin. The ringing continued for a few times before it went through.
"Hello love~" came a long dreamy voice.
Lisa's lip tilted into a smirk, this man was way too idle since he can flirt with her, "Prepone the board meeting and I want a deep investigation on the Gong Family."
"W... what? President, must you be so cruel to me? Those old geezers will fry me up with their questions? And Gong Family? It's tough!"
Her eyes brightened up immediately as she took the left turn in full speed "You have two days."
"You are.... crazy...sigh..."
Before he could continue, Lisa's voice reverberated in the phone "Damn!"
Jin's face turned grave. He stood up "What happened? Lali, are you alright?"
Beep.
The phone disconnected and he ran towards the VIP elevator as fast as he could. But before the elevator door opened, his phone started ringing.
He shakily answered it as the person on the other side spoke "Come to my office."
...
"President, your cousin has recovered from his vegetative state. It's said to be a miracle recovery. He wants to meet with you," Secretary Lim spoke cautiously as he saw Jungkook raising his brow, he continued slowly "That...he has something to say and he is sure that you will be interested in it."
Jungkook thought for a moment before nodding "Arrange for it within three hours."
Secretary Lim sighed in relief "Yes."
Even Secretary Lim was confused as to why Hanbin desperately wanted to meet the President when he is clearly aware that he is the person responsible for his misery.
...
Jin pushed open the office door as he tried to catch his breathe. These ten minutes gave him quite a few feelings.
First, he was in the mood to tease his boss but then he was exasperated when the devil appointed him to do tough jobs. He was fearful when he heard Lisa curse but then he became horrified when he couldn't contact her.
Now, although he was panting hard but still his face had a relieved smile as he saw Lisa standing in front of him. He couldn't imagine the consequences in case anything happened to her.
"What happened? I tried to call you so many times yet the call was disconnected?" Jin furrowed his brows.
Lisa folded her arms as she leaned against the office desk "Someone was tailing my car."
"What? But why?"
She looked at him with a 'you're a fool' written all over her face. If she could've known why someone was tailing her car within a few minutes, won't she become a god who is aware of everything.
"Cough...Alright, I will investigate it. And how many times have I warned you to take the bodyguards with you? You are a big shot for god's sake," He couldn't understand why must she go alone and risk her life like this.
"Fine," Lisa rubbed the space between her brows. It was just too high profile. She isn't like her brother or husband who have two cars of bodyguards following them when they go somewhere. To her, it feels irritating to move under someone's watch.
Jin was extremely pleased to have his way with it as he raised his chin high like a proud prince but then he thought of something "Well, what's the matter with Gong Family? They aren't easy. Why must you investigate them?"
She narrowed her eyes as a certain father-son duo's face flashed in her mind "They are weird."
"What? What's that got to do with you if they are weird? It's none of our business, right?"
No matter how he thought, Jin couldn't catchup with his sister-in-law's thoughts who was even weirder than the Gong Family.
"They were the ones who dealt with Jung Eunha," As precise as she was with her words, Jin could get an inkling to where this was going.
He swiveled his chair round and round before he finally spoke "Why? You were just a guest invited to the ball; they weren't obliged to do this. But brother's men were searching for that woman and he must have known what they have done. That means...Did brother tell you about it?"
"No, he didn't tell me," As she said so, a certain pufferfish had his eyes wide open as he was afraid that she would misunderstand his brother's intention.
Lisa wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry as she continued "He knows that I will figure it out. Moreover, he wants to conclude everything before telling about it lest I get involved into a mess."
The man visibly patted his chest. He was truly frightened that she will get angry since his brother has not told her about such a big matter.
He has seen the women behaving as such in television dramas; they were too strange, overreacting on small issues.
But then again, now that he thought about it, this couple has always been in sync. Such relationships are indeed romantic where one will just give a hint and the partner can catch onto the rest.
It becomes tiring when a couple has to do a lot of explanations all day long. This is also one of the reasons he has always worshipped his elder brother and Lali.
After discussing and confirming a few matters, Jin left the office. Lisa gazed at the file in her hand as she contemplated about certain things. Though she tried to focus, her attention was somewhere else.
She had a glimpse of the person whose car was trailing behind her. Though it was just for a second, she saw a flash of white hair. Was it...?
Ring...Ring...
The sound of the phone woke her up from the trance and she immediately swiped to answer the call "Princess, there something wrong with the Gong Family."
Lisa's gaze turned sharp almost immediately "What happened?"
