"What happened to grandmother?" Jungkook asked.
"Ah..About that, she wanted to convince Jennie to go to some blind date. So, she went to a temple and pretended that she will soon become a buddhist nun if Jennie doesn't agrees to her condition. Now, all of us are trying to coax her," Jungkook could vaguely hear the voice of other family members in the background. He couldn't help but frown. Why do the elders have to do these things? Did they have to force them like that?
"What about Lili?" Jungkook asked calmly.
The fool grinned widely and said "She must be at home. Are you missing her? When will you be back, brother?"
Jungkook's face turned cold and with an unconcealed danger in his voice, he said "Be ready for your punishment," With that, he hung up leaving the dumbfounded puffy shivering with fear.
Jin: (╥﹏╥) God, do you not love this cute baby of yours anymore? Are you abandoning this handsome beloved child?
He was practically shivering. His brother has never threatened him like this. Where was he wrong? What has he done?
He started connecting the dots and figured out that it must be something regarding Lisa. Or else, no matter whoever he offended, his brother will never scold or threaten him like this.
Though Jungkook doesn't expresses it, Jin knew it well how much his brother loved him and Jennie. When they were kids, Jungkook would give them his share of meat saying that he doesn't likes it. He would often complete their homework so that they won't get punished for lazing around the whole day. Till this day, he has always backed them in everything they did. He never expressed it but he has always spoiled them.
So, Jin was sure that he has committed a mistake....a sin this time that provoked his brother.
He wondered what it was but he failed to think about it. He has already taken a day off today since he was tired by searching for his grandmother for the whole night. But, now it looks like his brain cells will be dead by thinking about the current situation he was in.
Suddenly an idea popped in his mind and his face brightened as he thought 'I can ask Eunwoo. He is brother's secret bodyguard and driver. He must've known what exactly has happened.'
He inwardly praised himself for being so smart. Huh, who told him to be a genius? Isn't he just too great?
As the call connected, Jin became impatient "Eunwoo, tell me what exactly happened yesterday. Why does my brother wants to punish me?"
Eunwoo was confused for a moment. Why would Boss want to punish Young Master Jin? Wait!
He came to a sudden realization. Why was lady boss all alone yesterday? Where was her partner for the evening ball?
"Young Master, did you accompany Lady Boss to the ball yesterday?" he asked.
"Y..Yes," Jin could feel a bad omen.
"She was drugged after you left..." With that Eunwoo explained all the events that occurred yesterday. Jin face turned paler with each word that Eunwoo uttered.
After hanging up, Jin stood rooted at his spot. Guilt consumed him but at the same he was frightened. What would have happened if his brother didn't reach there at time?
He had sent some bodyguards but they couldn't find her. Since he was worried about his grandmother, he didn't think much into it and assumed that she must have left. Now that he thought about it, Lisa would have informed him if she left.
His hands were shaking when he recalled Eunwoo's words.
"Three men forced themselves on her...They drugged her. Because of my stupidity, she had to go through all these..." he mumbled to himself. He was frightened at the thought of losing her.
"Jin, help me. Grandma is throwing tantrums that I must go to the blind that she will arrange for me. Why must I promise her?" Jennie said as she walked towards Jin.
She frowned when she his face that has gone pale and his hands were shaking "What happened to you? Why are you so pale?"
"Jennie, Lali was drugged..."He narrated the whole incident to Jennie who stood there shocked.
She slapped his shoulder and said "You left her alone in that place? When will you stop acting on impulse? How is Lali right now?"
Jin shook his head "I..I don't know. It's all my fault."
"Let's go to see her right now," Jennie said as she dragged him towards the car.
"Wait, I have left the car keys in grandma's room," he said.
She nodded "Ah..I have left my phone there. Let's go together. I'm really worried about Lali."
Both of them walked towards their grandmother's room which was extremely chaotic at the moment.
"Mother, why must you force her? Let her do what she wants. She is not a kid anymore. Nobody likes it when their lives are controlled by someone else," Chaerin said to her stubborn mother-in-law who didn't even budge after hearing her statement.
Jiyong nodded his head. He agreed to what his wife said. Why must they force their kids? They have the right to make their own decisions. They can show them the available paths but why must they force them to walk on it?
