After reaching at her destination, she walked towards the main entrance of the villa. But when she tried to enter her password, it was 'invalid'. After failing for a number of times, she tried to scan her fingerprints, but it beeped and implied 'invalid'.
Before Jennie could process anything, two men dressed in black uniforms walked towards her and said "Young Miss, since this villa was a gift from your grandmother, she has decided to take it away. She has said that she will let you have it once you agree to her conditions."
Jennie was stunned. Indeed, this villa was gifted by her grandma. Since she was the only girl in the family, the old lady doted on her the most.
Furthermore, she never thought about buying any new properties or apartments because there was no need to. She could not believe that her grandma would go to this extent.
"Alright, just let me in so that I can pack my luggage and leave this place," she said coldly frightening the two men.
undefined. Both the men shivered involuntarily and opened the main door for her to enter inside.
Jennie packed up everything that was necessary for her right now including her clothes, some important documents and some daily necessities.
She called her bodyguard and instructed him to shift the rest of things to her office. She didn't have any option left rather than treating her office bedroom as a store room for the meantime.
Although her bodyguard was pretty confused but it was not his place to interrogate her, so he didn't ask any unnecessary questions and followed her instructions.
Before leaving, Jennie informed her grandma's men to let her bodyguard enter inside the villa. And both the men could only comply with that because they were only ordered to shut her out of the villa. Old Madam has not commanded them about anything else.
As she drove her majestic Azure blue Bentley, her mind was a mess. Her grandmother's words echoed in her mind 'disown you...nothing but a beggar without the surname....nothing...NOTHING!'
Those ruthless words kept echoing in her mind until fat teardrops trickled down her cheeks. In her muddled state, she couldn't think of anything. But suddenly a light flashed infront of her causing her to raise her head.
A car was moving at high speed towards her. Her body froze but she somehow managed grip the steering wheel tightly and change the direction of her car causing it to crash into a big tree. The road was empty and quiet. It was not a main traffic artery, so very few vehicles would pass there.
She jerked the car lightly, she still managed to protect her forehead by keeping her arms tightly secured on the steering wheel. But, she had her knees scraped and elbows injured by the broken glass shards. The front glass of the car shattered but still the window's glasses were intact. Because she had timely stepped on the brakes, the impact of the collision was not that terrible.
''Ahh.." As she looked at her hands that were covered in blood, her eyes dimmed. She could feel the excruciating pain.
If not for her fast reflexes, she would have been gravely injured. She quietly leaned her head on the steering wheel and sobbed weakly. The more she thought about it, the more indignant she felt. Hasn't she always been the best and made them proud? She and her brothers have never asked them for anything. Then, why do they want to control their lives? Why did she had to bear those harsh words?
Someone knocked on her car window several times before she finally gave in and unlocked the door without raising her head.
As he looked at the girl who had her head hung low while she weeped pitifully, he felt as if someone had twisted a dagger in his heart. She was neither crying nor wailing loudly, but her weak sobs and tear-strained face were making her appear extremely pitiful.
This feeling....He disliked arrogant girls as well as those pitiful weak girls.
But when it came to her, he liked it when she was proud and arrogant. She was not like others and he thought she an interesting girl. But his heart still skipped a beat when he looked at her weak state. He didn't find it repulsive. Why? He couldn't fall deeply for her so soon, could he?
The first time he met her at the airport, she look into his eyes with an unwavered gaze. She did not flinch when meeting with his bone-chilling intimidating stare. But she stood straight carrying herself with elegance. His bodyguard humiliated her for being poor. She could've mocked and insulted him with her status but she didn't bother to dislclose her identity.
The second time they met in hospital, she mocked him for making Jisoo pregnant. Unlike the indifferent girl at airport, she showed some hints of frustration. When she came to know the truth that there was nothing going between them, her eyes had a different glitter. He could count the number of times she was shy or she blushed on his fingers.
She has always been an poised and elegant lady. Her face have always remained expressionless and cold and those serene eyes of hers always had a tranquil gaze.
But what made her whimper like an abandoned kitten? Why did she end up in such an miserable state?
His heart ached terribly and when he saw the blood on her hands, his eyes contained a hint of sorrow and pain. As he raised his hand to pat her head, to his distress, he found her trembling.
He withdrew his hand and softly uttered "Jennie, let's go to hospital. You are injured..."
