'What the heck is this?' He thought as his jaws dropped in disbelief. He turned around to look at his sister in shock.

Lisa, who has composed herself at some point, shrugged. "Well... Brother...He happens to be our biological father."

Gong Yoo: "_" Is this the right way to introduce your father?

"Eh... What I mean to say is he is our father." She frowned slightly, there was something wrong with her wordings today.

Taehyung stood rooted to the place. No wonder... No wonder Jungkook was kind enough to tell him where Lisa was. That man already knew of the situation here. He must have placed him in such an awkward position on purpose.

His eyes narrowed slightly, 'It's better this way too. The truth can be found out and it won't be troublesome.'

"That's great," It only took him a few minutes to compose himself as he asked, "So, you should tell us now what is this all about? Who killed Kim Goeun? And...."

"Brother.." Lisa frowned as she held his hand to stop the man from speaking any further.

"We will talk about everything after father's operation," Gong Yoo chuckled, "Tae, you're still as awkward when you were a three-year-old brat. You used to pretend to be angry when you didn't know how to deal with a situation."

Taehyung pursed his lips as he turned his face to the side.

Of course, the man didn't remember how he behaved when he was a baby. But what Gong Yoo said was right up to to the point; he was indeed awkward.

"We will visit him tomorrow," Lisa softly muttered as she looked at Old Master Gong.

Taehyung nodded.

The atmosphere in the hospital room turned silent. Lisa rubbed her aching forehead. These men are so troublesome. If you want to talk, then talk or else don't. Why make it so uncomfortable?

Just as her patience reached the limit, a soft knock resounded in the room before Jungkook pushed the door open before entering inside.

He slightly nodded his head to Master Gong, then Taehyung, before walking towards Lisa. "Are you tired?" He softly asked.

She nodded her head slightly. A hectic day at the office, then being mentally and physically drained by her grandfather's slap, the back injury, and to top it off, the shock that came when she got to know who her father was; it has indeed tired her.

"I'll see you off," Gong Yoo suggested as he coldly looked at Jungkook.

Lisa shook her head, "No need, it's already late. You should take rest."

"I have some work to do. I should leave first," Taehyung took the chance to escape from the situation.

Being the fox that he was, it was fine with him to solve the tricky matters. When it came to such emotional situations, he was a shy person.

Master Gong's eyes darkened as he watched their retreating backs. He, of course, noticed those glaring handprints and bruising on her face.

Taehyung spoiled her rotten; so it was impossible for him to her like that. Then, was that Jungkook?

Was he a devil; as ruthless as rumored?

He has always believed in that until Jungkook shielded Lisa with his own body to save her from the bullet. But, what about her injuries? It was obvious that she was slapped, but who did it? Was it Jungkook?

A cold streak flashed in his eyes at the thought. Just like that, the innocent son-in-law was once again misunderstood by his father-in-law just like that.

She was even sitting in a wheelchair. No matter how she refuted, there must be something wrong with her that she couldn't even walk around.

"_" Coughs... That... Master Gong, there isn't anything wrong with her. That wheelchair... was an outcome of having an overprotective husband. That's all!

...

Taehyung coldly glared at Jungkook as they walked in the corridor. That man is purposely annoying him today.

Jungkook pushed the wheelchair as if not noticing the murderous glare. But Lisa wasn't a fool. How could she not notice the tension between both of them?

"Brother~ Earlier, Jennie was asking about you..."

"Really?" Taehyung interrupted before she could finish.

Lisa raised an eyebrow before nodding her head.

"Alright, I'll go meet her first. See you tomorrow." He quickly turned around and left, not noticing the mischief that flashed in her hazel eyes.

'Brother, you must get my sister-in-law today,' Her lips slightly curved up.

Jungkook's gaze softened as he looked at her but before he could push the wheelchair, she locked it before glaring at him.

"I am not paralyzed, Jungkook," she mumbled, "I don't want to sit on this. It feels weird. Though my back hurts a little, it will be fine?"

He sighed before walking in front of her as he knelt on one knee; his broad back facing her. "Hop on," he said.

"W.. What?"
