Chapter 24

"Knock knock" jaz said as she opened my door "hey how are you holding up?" Jaz asked "I'm fine now can I go back to sleep?" I asked "you have another session today" jaz said I sat up "I just had one this month" I said "I scheduled you another one today" jaz smiled "I need you to go" jaz looked worried "jaz i'm fine just let me be" I whined "Millie you haven't gotten out of bed since the accident" I stared at jaz "what accident?" I asked jaz looked at me confused "you don't remember?" Jaz asked "I'm trying to forget and all you do is want me to talk about it!" I snapped, jaz didn't reply and left. Grayson went to Max's room. 'Hey can I come in?" Grayson asked "sure" max said as he got up from his chair "Millie hasn't left her room in days I think you should talk to her since you were there, me and jaz don't know how to help her" Grayson suggested "okay, I will" max took a breath then headed to Millie's room. He opened the door "hey Millie" max said as he walked over to my bed and sat down next to me "are you okay?" He asked as I laid my head on his shoulder "I'm just trying to forget it all" I said as I looked up at max "Millie you have had a lot of traumatic things happen in your life but you have always been so strong" max took a second to breath "and where here for you I'm here for you but I need to to tell me how you feel" max said softly. "I know and I will when I'm ready for now I just want to be with you while jaz and Grayson solve the riddles" I said gently "okay we can work something out" max said as he turned on the tv. "Lincon high isn't doing so well thousands of students don't plan on going back or even going to college. We have also discovered the young boy who did this Margo martinez was put away for 10 years that all on the news today" we stared at the tv "let's watch something else" max said as he switched the channel. "A feather !" I yelled "what?" Max asked confused.

I ran out of the room to jaz "feather " I said out of breath. "What?" Jaz said "what can you lift but can't throw...a feather!" I said Max ran down the stairs as jaz narrowed her eyes "a feather?" Jaz said "yes..a feather" I replied "yes that right but where would we get a feather?" Max asked "the bird fountain in the front of the house!" I said as I ran out. "There a note" I called out as they ran behind me. "What does it say?" Jaz asked "it says "when I died I wanted to make sure my girls get to the right place I wanted to make sure that my plan worked out, and it did" I read I turned to jaz, max and Grayson "it was planned" I said "what?" Asked jaz "it was all a plan dad planned for him to die he planned for us to come here" I said as my eyes filled with tears ''but why?" I turned to Max "it was planned All along, he wanted to die" I said as tears ran down my face. "What was the other riddle?" Grayson asked "what has 6 faces and 21 eyes"' I said max walked over and wiped my tears away "let's not focus on that let's try and figure out what the riddle means" max said as he turned to Grayson. "Do you have any ideas?" Grayson looked at me my eyes watering "I thought I had an idea but it's stupid" Grayson said I walked passed max I put my hand on Grayson shoulder "it can't possibly be stupid, tell me" I said calmly "I thought maybe a dice?" Grayson shrugged "you're brilliant!" I exclaimed "that's it" I said as I ran to the board games I handed everyone one "look and see witch one had dice" I bossed. Everyone nodded as they opened each box carefully "I found it!" Grayson yelled as he jumped up "there a note" Grayson said as we nodded the room went silent...."we'll are you going to read it?" Jaz aksed impatiently

"My plan was that Millie would get curious and get in contact with violet so she would try to kill her and then I would protect her and she would kill me so then she and Jazmin would find Mark" gryson read.

I looked at him then fell to the floor "he wanted her to try and kill me so he could get killed" I said in tears "my dad never liked his sister he was always ashamed of her sometimes he didn't even want to be related to her and I don't blame him but to plan his own death is just crazy" I said jaz knelt down to me "Millie we have to stay strong okay" she said with tears in her eyes "we have to stay strong" she repeated "what's next huh are we going to find out that are mom planned her death to huh what next!" I snapped back "don't expect me to be all tough I was struggling in the first place the more it just keeps adding on, I can't take it anymore jaz I don't know what to do!" I cried jaz looked at me as tears fell down her face "I'm sorry I guess I'm always trying to stay strong for you but seeing you cry just make me hurt even more I'm always trying to hide it to protect you but it doesn't work" jaz said as she sat next to me. Grayson looked at us "you guys are the most strongest most beautiful girls I have ever met, and I know you guys are struggling harder than I can understand so we will take a break from this and then we will return when we're ready" we looked up at Grayson then I looked at max "I love you and I'm sorry you had to see that" I said as I got up and hugged max "I love you to" he said as he hugged me tight.
