=-=Chapter 2=-=

I wake up to the blaring rays of sunlight. I pull the scratchy bed sheets over my head tighter and groan. I hear a chuckle amongst the room. I roll my eyes and sit up. The cold air almost immediately sinks into my skin. I shiver.

"Is there air conditioning in this place?" I ask myself quietly.

"We don't use heating systems at Vantelipa," a deep voice comes out of nowhere. I flinch and spin my head to the right. Alexander. "Us vampires prefer the cold. Usually we wouldn't have..mortals here. Sucks for you," he mumbles. I roll my eyes again.

"I wasn't asking you," I snap. "Besides, I thought you were nicer."

"Yea, well I didn't get enough sleep thanks to someone last night...you were tossing and turning repeditely..." he calmly insults me. I growl.

"Please exit the room," I grit my teeth, aggravated. He furrows his eyebrows.

"Excuse me, this is my room too!" He protests.

"Well, we don't exactly have the same body parts, do we? I'd like some privacy!" I explain rudely.

"Like I give a damn!" He groans. I shrug.

"Suit yourself," I say, reaching down to my suit case on the floor. I pull out some revealing undergarments. I glance at the night stand to make sure that my uniform is there where PJ put it. It is. I slowly peel off my clothes from yesterday, and snatch a towel.

"I'll be showering," I mumble, Alexander standing dumbfounded and flabbergasted. Ha, not what you expected right?

I push open the doors to the bathroom and set my towel on the sink counter. The switch squeaks as I twist it. Cold water sprouts from the shower head. My eyebrows furrow. Why is it cold? There's only one bulb...oh great. Alexander mentioned that vampires preferred the cold. Well shit.

I don't want to end up stinking, so I step in anyways. I shiver as the freezing water pelts at my collar bone. I pick up the shampoo that is conveniently laying there, and massage it through my scalp. The twenty minute class bell warns as I'm rinsing the shampoo out. No time for conditioner. I turn off the water and hurriedly dry off. When I push the door open back to my room, Alexander is nowhere to be seen. I shrug and slip into the uniform, which is a short black cloth skirt, and a button up, long sleeved black shirt. I slip on some black flats to match my outfit and snatch my towel to dry my hair off. But when I glance into the mirror, my hair is already dry-and impressingly silky. I bolt into the bathroom and grab the shampoo bottle. The title reads:"Ultra Silkening & Drying shampoo-dries right away! Vampire use proffered". What the hell? They make vampire shampoo? Well, it's convenient. I step back into the room and pull my crimson hair into a high pony tail, pulling out a few strands of hair to frame my face. I double check myself in the mirror and nod, exiting the room. I take two steps out, and-

"OOF!" Someone groans, collapsing to the ground. I stand there and stare awkwardly. The person has black shaggy hair, and prominent features. My eyes widen.

"Sorry, Aleister!" I step back. He pulls himself up effortlessly and smirks.

"Are you really?" he deviously asks. I back up against a wall, which he presses me against. He leans in close to my face and stares into my eyes. My heart thumps worriedly. I close my eyes as he creeps in closer to the crack of my neck. He sticks out his tongue and licks the side of my neck. His tongue moves side to side and stops. I grow hot and my heart speeds up even more. No emotion , I repeat. Let it happen. He won't bite me, will he? He places his lips on the crook of my neck and smooches delicately.

"Not yet, my little lily. Don't become too excited yet. The best is to come," he seduces, taking my chin in his hands. "Your class is the third on the left. Vampire history." He pecks a kiss on top of my head, and continues down the hall. I stand there awkwardly. The late bell rings as I slump down against the wall and place my face in my hands. I squeeze my eyes shut. So seductive.
