"Gurrh...''
Izaya let out a strange sound from being sleep deprived.
Their argument yesterday was still clear in his head. Izaya readied for work in a short amount of time and walked into the living room to notice Shizuo wasn't there.
So he left already...who cares.
At his office, Nicole bumped into him and awkwardly greeted him.
Izaya nodded his head in response, noticing the tension as well.
He had a document he needed to fill out, and Izaya wasted no time in getting that done.

"Izaya! Are you there?''
It was his superior's voice.
"Yes?''
"This has mistakes all over the page. Here. Fix it.''
Rather surprised, Izaya slowly took the document back to his desk.
...mistakes? All over the page...?
Checking it over, still hung up on the fact that Izaya didn't make mistakes, he once again noticed nothing wrong.
"Sir. I don't see any faults.''
His boss turned towards him.
"Are you serious?!''
While he pointed out every mistake, Izaya's heart sank with every one. These were the simplest and most careless mistakes. Moreover, he checked it more than twice. How did he not see them?
Izaya trudged through the whole day throughout work and his shift came to an end. He quickly bought fast food for his dinner and grimly walked home.
He heard Shizuo using the shower and noticed the empty instant ramen bowl in the garbage can.
That fucking...well, it's not like I'm eating any better. Stop worrying about him. His health isn't my concern.
Upon finishing his burger, Shizuo came out and noticed him.
He turned away blatantly and headed to the bedroom.
Once again, Izaya slept on the bed alone.

It'd been almost 2 weeks and they hadn't uttered a word to each other.
Izaya was almost driven off the edge. His mistakes at work continued, and he walked during a red light seven times.
During one night home, even though he wasn't a drinker, Izaya headed to a local bar.
He drank more as the bartender looked at him nervously, preparing yet another drink for the shorter man.
When Izaya decided to stop, he was already drunk and he took out his wallet to pay.
The bill totaled to over $175, and Izaya didn't have even half of that on him. Left with no choice, he called Shizuo.
"Hello?''
"Mm? Shizu-chaaan? Yeah, can you bring money to the bar on Trevile Street?
"...are you drunk, bastard?''
"'Course not.''
"You fucking-! How much?''
"Hm, hehe, around $130?''
"Shit, what...I'll be there.''
And he hung up.
After paying the bill, Shizuo carried Izaya home in a piggy back style.
Their walk home included Izaya throwing up twice.
He threw up for the third time in their apartment.
Irritated, Shizuo slammed Izaya onto the couch.
"Why did you go out drinking and drink so much? That bill is expensive, damn it!''
"I can go if I want to.''
Izaya spoke with hiccups always interrupting, and his voice came out in a babyish tone.
"Seriously, what's wrong with you?''
Shizuo shook Izaya's shoulders.
Noticing Shizuo touching him, Izaya tearing up quickly.
"Because...You never tell me what happened.....and I'm blamed for it, always.''
Izaya continued, unaware of his actions.
"And these two weeks, it was so lonely, I couldn't bear it, my boss kept yelling at me, I spent almost $200 just drinking by myself...''
He was in hysterics by now as Shizuo held him tightly to stop him from crying. He didn't really have a response for this either.
"Then...why do you feel that way towards me?''
The raven-haired man looked up at the blonde with misty red eyes.
"...why...? That's obvious. I-''
