Edgar's Secret

After Ash went to sleep with the girls, Dave then met with the Serena's mentor in the far corner.

"So, your son ended up in this jungle like my daughter did huh?"

"Yes Edgar. But we trained our children for combat and protection when needed, and I never forgot about Delia."

"I also want to be reunited with my wife, she misses me so much and earlier today I learned that Serena after finding out the truth about Grace she was confused and almost slapped Yoshi but she forgived him for love."

"I told Ash the truth, and he understood."

Then Dave spotted Serena who was sitting on the grass watching the stars.  Edgar took the opportunity and went to her, the young girl continued watching the stars until she heard footsteps.

"Mentor?"

"Goodnight Serena. Thoughtful again about your family?"

"Yeah. You know, my father Edgar told me this when I was little whenever it's time for me to be, mentor."

"Where?"

"I don't know, and I want to see my father again, and when I found out about my mother...I almost hurted Yoshi..." Serena didn't hesitate to cry but Edgar hugged her.

"Don't cry my little girl..."

"I just wish my father was alive to see how I grew up, had amazing adventures in the wild, and fell in love with the boy I saved from hunters years ago."

"I'm sure you'll find him someday."

"Thank you mentor, but my chest is beating stronger..."

"It's your heart Serena. He says you're stronger as Yoshi because you two are unbeatable together, and no goon or hunter can win and my wife Grace won't lose her pride."

"I didn't expect this evolution within me and yet...wait how do you know my mother's name?"

The black fox Pokémon nodded his head leaving Serena surprised and thrilled.

"But how is that possible..?"

"Well, it's complicated."

"Daddy..?"

"Yes Serena...It’s me."

And once again Serena cried and hugged her mentor who all this time was actually her own father.

"Seeing my daughter again after years is the best time for now. I know you have a lot of questions, but Arceus saved me from death and I incarnated as Zoroark so I could train you and Dave, Ash's father also incarnated and became a Lucario for being an Aurabender."

"Really?"

"Of course my sweet daughter. I would never abandon you for that, and when I heard about your relationship with Battle Scarred I approved."

Edgar and Serena embraced, in a nearby tree Yoshi had overheard their conversation but was happy for Edgar approving of his relationship with Serena until Artemis appeared at her side.
