sae grabbed her bare wrist and glared at her cheeky smile. he noticed her skin was cold even though she was wearing his jacket. he guessed her frail body couldn't handle the cold by the shore.

"you're annoying," he grumbled. "stop poking me, what do you want?"

she pouted, "your love, devotion, and attention."

he sighed annoyingly, "shut up."

sae and aiya sat next to each other, watching the sunset slowly disappearing across the ocean. aiya had bugged the older itoshi to come watch with her and he had agreed grumpily despite his busy schedule.

for her, he'd say yes in a heartbeat.

the girl hummed quietly, "i don't think i'll live past 18, sae."

he frowned at her words, "why would you say that? you're only 16."

and im 18.

"i think i'm satisfied with everything i've seen," she faintly smiled.

aiya yelped as the boy flicked her forehead and shook his head.

"you're stupid, you're stuck with me."

"well duh, you're my best friend," she rolled her eyes.

sae looked away, a slight wince in his expression from the label she had used.

aiya suddenly stood up, stretching her arms. she looked down at his sitting position and grinned at his emotionless face. she nudged him with her leg.

"i want some ice cream."

sae curses himself for always saying yes to her. he hates himself even more for how quickly he says yes just to see her smile.

itoshi sae loves her smile.
