"why do you still visit japan if you detest this country so much?"the sky was so dark, but the moon's light was up there shining dimly above them. sae and aiya sat in the swings at the playground. it was just the two of them at the park and sae always preferred it that way.
"something ties me back here," answered sae vaguely.
it's you, why can't you see?
"what, you mean rin?" she replied sarcastically. "i know you two aren't on good terms."
his expression hardened at her words, "i don't want to talk about that right now."
"fine by me, but i still don't understand why you visit one weekend every month," said aiya with a pout.
because of you, idiot.
"i'll tell you some other time."
silence filled after his last words and it was comforting to both of them. all they ever needed were each other's presence.
aiya played with strands of her hair as sae continued to count the stars in the sky. she examined the faint pink in her hair before breaking the silence.
"maybe i should dye my hair black, i don't think guys go for me because of my hair," chuckled aiya.
"don't dye it," he said sharply.
she didn't bother looking at him, afraid he would see her self consciousness. she mumbled, "i don't think i look pretty with pink hair."
sae turned to look at her, his face may have been stoic but his eyes showed softness.
he repeated, "don't dye it."
itoshi sae loves her pink hair.
