"that cat is so fat," said sae gratingly. "do you really need to feed it?"
aiya placed two bowls filled with cat food for the stray cats in her neighborhood before looking disapprovingly at sae, "first of all, this cat is a 'he,' not an 'it.' and second, he's not even fat."
she cooed at one of the cats that came up to her and expectantly looked at her, forwarding their head for her to pet them. she quickly abided to the cat's request.
"these cats are all fat because of you," he told her with taunt.
she gasped in fake horror, "don't fat shame them! they can hear!"
he patted her head with slight force, "you're an idiot."
he crouched right next to her to watch the cats closer and noticed one of them walking towards him. the cat sat in front of him, just staring and it honestly unnerved him.
aiya nudged him, "she wants you to pet her, dumbass."
sae carefully reached his hand to the cat slowly and cautiously pet her head. the cat began purring and moved closer to him. his eyes widened and aiya was surprised to see the gentleness coming from him.
she lifted one of the cats and showed it to the boy, "i knew you were a cat person."
