calum giggled into michael's neck, "that's not how the game works mikey! you can't just go around killing people, now the cops are after you!"
"but if you do it any other way it's boring as hell!" he shot back, a laugh falling from his lips. he moved the controller away from calum's grabby hands that were trying to get ahold of it.
"no cal, no!"
"yes mikey, yes!"
"you bastard!" michael whined, pouting when calum took the controller from his hands.
"you can play with me, here" calum took michael's hands and wrapped one around his side and put his hand over his own. then he took his other hand and put it over his other one. the blue-haired boy scooted closer to make it more comfortable.
michael smiled down to himself, feeling the boy's hands move under his. he could smell calum's cologne and even the faint mint from his breath. the fact that he was in such a close proximity to michael was astonishing. it had been so long (besides the night they met) that he had been this close to another boy.
he was used to being alone. he was used to the quietness of his home and the raging hangovers and endless, sleepless nights. with calum on his mind instead of luke, he had been getting more than two hours of sleep a night. though not enough to cure the bags under his eyes.
"shit- michael?"
"yeah?"
"i think i accidentally just killed someone" he stared at a spot under the water where an unconscious man laid.
"god damnit calum" he sighed, resting his head on cal's shoulder. they drifted off into silence, the only sounds came from the video game itself, and occasional laughter from the two boys.
-
"calum get in here!" michael yelled for him, dragging out the last e. he had gone into his room and laid down, getting sleepy. his eyes occasionally drooped close. meanwhile, being the clueless person he is, calum stayed on the couch.
not even a minute later, he appeared, looking hesitantly from michael to the bed.
michael rolled his eyes, "just please lay down with me, it's okay. i won't do anything."
and it's true. he didn't want to do anything sexual with the boy, the only thing he wanted to do was cuddle with him and talk about things and maybe innocently kiss each other's neck.
michael could word things very well but he couldn't find any words to describe how much calum meant to him already.
when calum walked over to the bed, michael asked, "is-is it okay if i take my shirt and jeans off? that's how i sleep but it's okay if you don-"
"it's fine" he smiled, and went to take off his own clothes. but michael couldn't get up as soon as he lifted his shirt, because holy shit calum was so beautiful in his eyes. he was hiding a few tattoos that now showed, beautiful and encrypted, like the mmxii that laid on his chest. he knew the number- but he didn't know the meaning.
once michael was also undressed, he got under the covers and scooted near calum, being cautious. he didn't want him to run off.
"you can touch me" calum whispered, pulling the covers up to his chin when he looked at michael.
michael parted his lips, ready to say something, but said something else instead. "only if you promise me something."
the other boy smiled, "of course mikey."
"i want you to move in with me."
