The next morning Sally woke gradually , waking to the smell of cooking .

She had felt bad , staying the night , Hurumi didn't know her but she glad showed her such kindness and Sally had no way of thanking her . She couldn't give her money , as she had none herself.

She got up off the couch , shaking her head to wake herself. With a quick glance at the clock she still didn't know what time it was because she didn't know how to tell the time .

It was darkley's fault , she never learned how to read or write but at least she knew how to blackmail someone . Always look on the bright side .

"  Good morning , " Harumi greeted her as she got up.
Sally greeted her, then noticed that Lyra was there too and greeted her .

" Sorry if I overstayed my welcome , " Sally said.

" Please don't , you didn't overstay , " Harumi replied placing breakfast confront of Sally .

" Oh no , I can't - " she shut up when Harumi have an amused look .

" So , Sally , what's the story with you ? " Lyra asked.

Harumi have a look which she only replied with an eye roll .

" Oh no it's fine I can answer , " Sally said to Harumi , " There's nothing really interesting about just another poor girl who can't seem to get a job . "

Lyra nodded .

" I could get you a job at my work , " Harumi offered .

" You've already done so much for me , " Sally knew that she had to take this offer even if it seemed morally wrong , " but I'd really like that . "

" Sure , you can come with me later , stay until it's time , " Harumi replied.

" You've done so much for me , how can I repay you ? "

" Its fine , I'm always happy to help out a fellow young women . "

Harumi led Sally through the busy streets of Ninjago , driving wasn't possible because of traffic and also because neither of them had a car .

" Are you sure that they're hiring ? " Sally asked.

" I'm friends with the boss , she actually offered  me the job, so I'm sure that it'll be fine , " Harumi offered.

" Oh few , most people don't think I'm professional enough for work . "

" Well , we'll see about that . "

Sally laughed nervously.

They continued the walk in silence , as the streets were to loud to be heard on .

When they reached the place there were supposed to be Sally let out a gasp .

Chen' s noodle house .

Chen, like Gene Chen and Skylor Chen .

Gene Chen , the only friend who stuck around .

Harumi pushed open the door to the restaurant and the pair walked in . 

It was nearly empty .

It would be since it was right around time too early for dinner but too late for lunch . Only a few souls ate at a time like this .

The smell of noodles transported her to a time Stephen Skylor used to send Gene noodles . It seemed like a strange thing , to Sally at first , but then it became like clock work , every week Skylor would religiously send him them .

Sally had always wished that her family would do something similar for her but they never did , if you don't ask for something it will never happen .

" Sally is that you ? " Skylor asked as she walked over to the pair .

" You know eachother ? " Harumi asked .

" How could I forget my favourite darkley's kid ? "

Skylor pulled Sally into a tight embrace , much to Harumi's disbelief.

" How do you know each other ?" Harumi asked .

" Her brother is - was one of my best friends ," Sally answered.

" Was ? Past tense ? " Skylor asked.

" Yeah ," Sally rubbed the back of neck ," it's complicated - we haven't spoken in years ."

" What ! Next time I see him I'll give him a piece of my mind ."

Harumi let out a laugh .

" So how do you two know eachother ? " Skylor asked the pair .

" Oh I was just coming here to see if she could get a job here ."

" Of course , your always welcome ," Skylor said to Sally .

" Thanks Sky."
