"Oh no. Oh no. Oh no. This can not be happening to me." I placed my hand on my head. "Why? Why? Why?" I began to cry.
I looked down at the positive pregnancy test. I knew this would eventually happen. Javier and I have sex a lot due to him wanting a child to carry his legacy. I've never had a positive pregnancy test with Javier until now.
Why now? This is the absolute worst timing.
"Hili haliwezi kutokea." (This can't be happening). I cried out loud.
It's been a few months since I presented Jason with the divorce papers. We have yet to finish the process. I'm pregnant and not even divorce. I have to figure a way to get the divorce finalize before I start showing.
Granted I have a pudge right now, but it's nothing my body magic can't hide. If Jason is smart, he could use me being pregnant against me during the divorce process.
I hid the pregnancy test in my purse.
"Hey baby." Javier said causing me to jump. "Whoah, you okay?"
"Yes I'm fine. You just startled me. That's all."
"Why are you just standing in the bathroom?" He asked.
"I was touching up my makeup. I have some errands to run today, then I was going to have a self care day."
"Mmmm do I get to decide what color nails and toes you get?"
I laughed. "Sure. What color are you thinking?"
"Clear nails and French tip toes."
"That's different."
"I know. I would love to see that." He smiled as he began kissing me. "You know what else I need you to do today?"
"What's that?"
"Go talk to Jason and see what's the hold up. If I don't like his answer this time, I'm taking matters into my own hands and we are going to court."
I exhaled. In this moment just like other moments, I felt pressured, but I hated arguing with Javier. "I understand. I'll go talk to him today."
I didn't feel the need to tell Javier I was pregnant, because I knew it would make everything worse than what it is right now.
"Thank you. Just make me happy and I'll keep you happy baby. I love you." He said.
"I love you."
He began to hug and caress my body. "You are getting a little thicker I see. Good dick will do that to you." He laughed.
I cracked a smile. If only he knew. "That's what you call it?" I laughed.
"Ohhhhh yeah." He smiled as he cupped my ass.
I let out a soft laugh. "Let me go before you keep me here and I get nothing done. I'll see you later."
When I got in the car, I looked at my phone and tapped Jason's phone number. Instead of answering, the line just kept ringing.
I sent him a text message.
Almost instantly he started responding.
Jason: I'm busy right now. What is it?
Received.I noticed he turned his read receipts off.
Why did you turn your read receipts off? Turn them back on.
Delivered.Jason: That's not important anymore. Please stop calling and texting my phone, unless you are asking about the girls, in which we know you will never ask about them.
Received.
