7 - Yeah , I don't think we can lock her up in here

Reed's POV - 

" He is back in New York ? " ; I asked , just to clarify . 

" Yes ! he texted me . I obviously ignored him but we need to keep Stacey safe " ; Sue said stressed out . 

" Try telling that to her without any context and see what happens " ; I sighed . 

Stacey is stubborn . If she puts her mind to something , no matter how dangerous it is , she will do it and nobody can stop her . And she thinks everything really analytically , so if we just up and tell her that she needs to stay home and take Booth everywhere with her , without any context , she will never listen to us and go do exactly the opposite . Plus , we were dealing with a very delicate situation here . 

" Look , Sue , let's just keep it under the wraps for now . I mean , Booth nearly accompanies her everywhere . At most , we can get her extra security " ; I said . 

" Victor will try to get to her . He will try to experiment with her ! " 

" I know that . That is why we need to come up with a plan " 

" How about you take her to school whenever she is with you and I will do the same ? " 

" That is a good idea and more bodyguards "

" I will inform Booth about the situation and he can actually vet the other bodyguards " 

" Thanks Reed . I have never been so scared " 

" Don't thank me . She is my daughter and I get it . This news scares me too " 

" Okay . I will see you tomorrow . Good night " 

" Good night " 

We hung up at the same time . I rubbed my hands over my face . 

" But I still have 2 days with you ! " ; a girly voice whined from behind me . I jumped . 

" Jesus Christ Stace ! " ; I said with a hand on my heart . 

" Sorry for scaring you " ; she said not sounding sorry at all . 

" Yes you're mom is coming here tomorrow . Not to take you back but to talk about some superhero stuff and our new mission " ; I lied . 

" Oh . Can you tell me , please ? ' ; she asked with her big shiny eyes . 

" Nope . Confidential " ; I said turning around . I looked at the clock . It was 1:38 am . 

" What are you doing up darling ? " ; I asked as she sat on the chair beside me . 

" I finished my presentation , did some extra research and then I wanted my ice filled Stanley cup but it was so far away from me . I was on the bed and it was on my desk and I had to get up to get it . So , I though , why not ask you , if I can take some of your stretchy powers so that I can have long hands too and I won't need to get up from my bed ! " ; she explained as if it was the greatest idea that had ever come to her mind . 

" Uh no " ; I chuckled as I dismissed her idea . 

" Why not ? ' ; she whined  . 

Okay , her whining is definitely a sign of her being tired . 

" I wish I had gotten those powers from you . I mean , I have mom's shield , and magnetic and absorption powers for some weird reason " ; she sighed as she kept spinning around in her chair . 
" Stacey , darling why don't you go to bed " ; I suggested . 

" If I go to bed will you get me comic con tickets ? " 

" I will get you anything you want " 

" Will you tell me the truth ? " 

" Truth about what ? " 

" Space Mission Galactus " 

Oh no . Oh no . Oh no . 

" Yeah , okay . Tomorrow " ; I lied again . 

" Okay . Goodnight dad , I love you " ; she yawned . 

" Goodnight Stace . Love you too " ; I said as I watched her walk back to her room . 

I immediately sent a message in the groupchat . 

' Stacey knows about Space Mission Galactus . I am pretty sure she has already met Victor ' 

There was an email on my laptop . I opened it . It was from him , Von Doom . It read - 

" How long can you keep her from me ? How long can you hide ? She will figure it out " 

Oh no no no no no ! He is not coming near my daughter and I will make sure of that !
