Stacey's POV -
I woke up covered in ice packs .
" AAhh " ; I half-yelled . It was way too cold . I looked around , I was in the lab but in a protected glass chamber and the ac vent was directly above my head , cold air blowing through it .
" Good morning , more like afternoon " ; dad said as he stood outside the glass , with a tablet in his hand .
" Why am I here ? Did you import Antarctica ? " ; I asked , the last bit sarcastic .
" If it was up to me , you would have been there . Johnny and Ben found you burning in your room . Your temperature , close to Supernova , you managed to burn everything . Bed , study books , chair , table . Ben moved your story bookcart before it got destroyed " ; he listed off .
" How did that happen ? "
" Flares in temperature . Pretty uncommon but not rare . But hey , you are now at normal human temperature ! "
" I am freezing in here ! "
" I will change the ac settings "
." How long will I have to stay here ? "
" Till I build the machine that will help you control your powers more "
" And how long will that take ? "
" 2 weeks- ish "
" So for 2 weeks you are going to keep me here , in Elsa like conditions ? Shall I start singing Let It Go ? "
" I would love to hear you sing " ; Johnny said as he walked into the lab .
I flipped him off.
" Stacey ! " ; dad said with a scolding tone but that was fake . He looked more amused . Probably had been wanting to do the same for years .
" Oh and you can't use your powers in there . So no shield , no fire " ; he added .
" Great " ; I plopped on the floor .
" I'll get you pillows and a thin blanket cause you can't sleep without them " ; Johnny said .
" Thanks " ; I said as I played juggling with the icepacks .

" Fast and Furious ! no ? Cars 3 ! what ? oh oh , got it , Cars 2 ! " ; I said excitedly .
I was playing charades with Booth as he sat on the floor outside the glass .
" Noooooo ! Its expendables 3 " ; he said .
" How is that expendables 3 ? " ; I asked .
" This is a helicopter " ; he did a whirring noise " and this is a train " ; he did a hand rotation ." and then a doctor fights " ; he mimicked a stethoscope and threw punches in the air . " He then gets on the helicopter and escapes ! "
" Oh my god "
" Oh my god is that you couldn't answer this . Cars 3 ? Seriously ! "
" Fine , fine , you get a point " ; I said . " My turn now "
I did the imitation of me holding a wand and then reading a book .
" Legally Blonde ! " ; Booth answered excitedly .
" Nope , try again "
I drew a scar on my forehead .
" Harry Potter " ; he answered .
" Yes ! "
Booth was now at 40 points and I was at 30 points .
His phone rang in the middle and as soon as he saw the caller id , his eyes darkened .
" I 'll be back Stacey " ; he excused himself .
I pouted as he left . What was it ? Why did he look murderous ?
The building suddenly shook . Oh god ! Earthquake ? Now ! Why ?
One of the walls of the lab came tumbling down as a man in silver mask came flying in . Booth also came in running with his gun drawn out .
The metal man managed to conjure up some metal looking ray and hit Booth with it but he managed to duck and shoot at metal man . The man laughed as the bullets literally bounced off his suit .
Booth tried to fight the man physically but metal man kept on using his powers against him . Its a wonder Booth actually didn't stop fighting but he was eventually thrown across the lab all the while I was trying to get out of the glass chamber .
" Booth ! " ; I yelled for him but he was unconscious .
Metal man turned to me . I can burn him but in here I can't use any of my powers ! He raised his hand and shattered the glass around me .
" Mom ! Dad ! Johnny ! Ben ! " ; I screamed for my family .
" None of them are here kid " ; metal man said to me in his gruff voice .
I tried to use my powers but before I could do anything , he knocked me out .
