Song: Yosemite by Lana Del Rey

"There are only three good things in life Adi; air, family and women."

"I'm not sure that's accurate."

"What do you know? You're just 13."

"Hey! Why'd you take my lighter?"

"What are you gonna use a lighter for kiddo?"

"What are you gonna use a lighter for?"

"What else? Burn myself lol."

"Nobody says lol out loud Andy."

"Lol, you just did!"

"You're crazy."

The sound of the lighter plays over and over in my head. Like a clock. Tik tok tik tok. And then it stops. The fog clears and I see him. I see Andy...on a cliff.

"Have you ever wondered what alcohol tastes like?"

"I already know what it tastes like."

"Look at you? Already hitting those parties! How many girls have you gotten?"

"Was I supposed to keep count?"

"C'mon AD!"

"I dunno, 3? They're not important."

"Ayy, you're stringing girls along now?"

"They're not even attending my school. And we didn't do it anyways so if they thought more to it then that's their problem."

"Feelings are like clouds Adonis, you should be careful with them."

"That makes no sense."

"The clouds are more or else our imagination. They're not actually there, they're just water that we can't hold. Some feelings are like that, we imagine them and make them look real and when we're about to touch them they disappear and we're left feeling like an empty sky."

"So I'm supposed to think about the feelings of the girls?"

"Well yeah I guess but I'm talking about your feelings."

"My feelings?"

"Yes kiddo. There's anger, there's rebellion-"

"I'm not angry-"

"The desire to prove everyone wrong-"

"That's not-"

"The overwhelming need to numb your pain-"

"Shut up Andy! SHUT THE FUCK UP!"

I wake up in a flash, gasping for air. I'm panicking, unaware of my surroundings for a split second until I remember that I'm in my room and it's...what time is it?

6:58 AM

Was that a nightmare? A nightmare about Andy? It's been years since I had those so why am I suddenly having them now? And why does my body feel so sticky-

"ADONIS! Wake up, it's almost time for school!" Mum blares from the kitchen. I inwardly groan before forcing myself up the bed. I drag my feet to the bathroom and force myself to face the mirror and boy am I an eyesore. My hair's damp from sweat despite the fact that I slept with the air conditioner on, eye bags have appeared under my eyes overnight. As I stand in front of the mirror, staring at myself the voice of Andy floats past me like a whisper.
