The Call

The sunshine was coming through my California blinds, but that was not what woke me up. My phone was vibrating on my nightstand. I groaned, wanting to prolong my comfort in my bed.

I eventually sat up and answered the bright screen. It was my assistant at my Photography Agency.

"Good Morning ma'am, sorry to disturb you this early in the A.M." she began.

"It's quite alright, what do you need?" I say as I slowly walk toward my bathroom.

"I'm calling to inform you to share that you have a photo session in L.A on Thursday. Your client wants to do a photo shoot for her song release coming soon."

I stand, facing the bathroom mirror wrapping my head around having to leave for this client in 2 days.

"Thank you for letting me know, I will book a flight to L.A for this evening. I've always wanted to see the beautiful California city!"

I hang up the phone, get dressed, book the plane ticket and start packing. This is my first international shoot since I started my Agency and I have to make it perfect!

(LATER THAT DAY)

I'm driving to the airport, blasting the music on the radio and could not be more excited for my client's photoshoot. Entering the airport, I make it to security, get my bags checked and then head to my gate. Come boarding time, I bump into a girl heading the same way as me.

"I am so sorry, I'm so clumsy!" I say, apologizing.

"No worries at all! I should have been paying more attention," she responds.

I smile and she smiles back at me. We walk to the plane but part ways when we board.

"Wait, I never got your name!" she says before heading to her seat.

"Oh, it's y/n! You?"

"Bailey! It was nice meeting you!" she replies

"Ditto"
