After the shocking revelation of Sam's soullessness, I found myself collapsed on the floor, trying to process what had just happened. It all made sense now - his behaviour, his actions. Without emotions to hinder him, he was a fearsome hunter, unstoppable in his pursuit of monsters. It was a terrifying thought - what if he were a monster himself? With no moral compass, he could wreak untold havoc on the world.

As I wallowed in my thoughts, the sound of wings flapping caught my attention. I knew it was Castiel before I even looked up and saw his shoes in my line of sight.

"Are you alright?" He questioned me in his usual monotone voice, asking if I was alright. But I was in no mood for his angelic platitudes.

"Screw you," I spat out bitterly, my wrath still simmering beneath the surface. Cas inclined his head quizzically, not comprehending my outburst.

"I am incapable of such actions," he answered, his expression impassive. I couldn't help but roll my eyes at his literal interpretation of my curse.

"I don't want to talk. Just go away," I murmured, my mental exhaustion weighing heavily on me. I lowered my head back to the floor, hoping he would take the hint and leave me alone.

But Cas remained in his presence a constant pressure on my consciousness. I groaned with annoyance, lifting my head to meet his unwavering gaze. Unexpectedly, he extended his left hand towards me, offering to help me up. I hesitated for a moment before taking his hand in mine, feeling his grip tighten around my fingers as he pulled me to my feet.

"If I wasn't so down, I would have flirted with you by now," I managed a hollow chuckle, reluctantly releasing his hand, but his comprehension of the situation seemed partial at best. "Thank you for the drop-off," I deflected, diverting my gaze to the contents of my duffel bag. "However, I need some time away from them. You might not get the weight of this feeling-"

"Then enlighten me," his response caught me off guard, and astonishment was evident on my face.

"If I didn't know any better, I would have assumed you were attempting to seduce me," I remarked, a soft laugh escaping my crimson lips. Cas responded with an expression resembling a confused puppy, still failing to grasp my insinuation. "He knew, Cas," I shifted my tone to a serious one, locking eyes with the angel. "He knew what I was going through, he possessed the symbol, and he had knowledge for a while. Yet, he stood there and lied to me," I paused, my gaze drifting toward the fireplace as I wrapped my arms around myself. "I understand the irony, given my own history of deceit. But this was different... He violated my Grimoire, burning a page as if it were ordinary paper," I clutched my arms tightly, feeling my grip grow stronger. "It's my most cherished possession. Every page, every spell. It's all I have," tears welled up in my eyes, but I fought against them, refusing to weep in his presence. Instead, I transformed my sorrow into anger, and as my blood surged, the flames within the fireplace erupted, resembling a small explosion.
