Dean explained the main reason why he chose to wake me up. Sam being freed from the cage, was concerning alone, but by who. Was even more concerning. At the moment it was a wild guess. But he also wanted me to know that he was back. As if that was the reason that I asked Dean to plunge that dagger into my heart. Which wasn't the reason. The chat wasn't long, he had Lisa and Ben to sort too. He left with them, now protecting them from a few dijnn which I was told by Bobby shortly after they left.
I was back upstairs, eyes on Bobby as he grabbed us both a beer from the fridge. I was still processing what Dean had told me. That day in the cemetery was engraved into my mind, the day I thought I would never see Sam again. But by some miracle he was back. Aimlessly, I grabbed the open beer from Bobby, and tipped it straight back, drinking a half of its contents.
"How you holding up?" Bobby questioned, sitting opposite of me. As he was referring to the truth.
"Better than Dean I imagine," I responded, lowering the bottle to the table, but left my right hand upon the cold glass. "Only thing is, how did I end up here?" I flashed my eyebrows as it's been playing on my mind. Dean wouldn't have put me here, he would have gone straight back to Lisa and Ben.
"Well, Sam - he thought that you found a way to bring him back. I couldn't get in touch with you. So, we had to track you down," Bobby explains, taking a swing of his beer at the end of his sentence. "We found your apartment, took a hell of a while but we found it. And Sam went to retrieve you, and brought you back here," I knitted my eyebrows together, still not understanding why they moved me.
"If you knew I was 'asleep'. Why bring me here at all? Why not just leave me there?" I questioned his motives behind moving me from one place to another.
"You just vanished after that day. No true goodbyes, just 'poof' gone," Bobby states. "We thought you were doing something reckless, and you did," I couldn't help but snicker at his comment. Shaking my head softly.
"I did the right thing creating that dagger, and Dean did the right thing in stabbing me with it," I wasn't mad about him doing what he needed to do to keep me away from other people. I brought the beer bottoms to my lips, and took a swig of the liquid.
"Did you achieve what you needed?" Bobby questioned, wondering if I still had the murderous intent and if I was going to break down at the mention of it. My eyes glazed over his for a moment
"I'm here aren't I? And so far I haven't broken down," I replied to him with a dry chuckle. He gave me a look for a moment, as if he didn't believe it. "I worked out my issues the best I can. Let's leave it at that," I was snappy about it because bringing it up now wouldn't do me any good. Bobby didn't say anything else and we drank in silence...
I decided to stay a week at Bobby's until I got some of my strength back, and that of my magic. Each day I felt stronger, soon I could leave the nest behind and fly on my own. Bobby was kind of thrilled with the company. Even though I wanted silk sheets, not linen sheets. But you win some, you lose some. My mind did wander to that of Sam, no contact from him, not seeing him since I came back. But I half expected that. Last time I saw him, he threw himself into the cage. To save millions of people, and the world won't know it. Only a handful of people. Then again, the world of the supernatural isn't ready to be learnt by everyone. They can hardly solve their own problems.
