"I'm so sorry, (Y/n)," Shelldon said for the hundredth time.

"It's ok, Shelly," you replied for the hundredth time. You looked over at the drone with a kindness that seemed to shock him, and despite his eyes being digital, you could almost see the admiration in them. "Donnie will rescue us despite me explicitly telling him not to." You rolled your eyes, trying to provide some humor despite the direness of the situation.

"That's the plan," Jason piped up, trying to make his smile seem menacing. But there's only so much a geek can do to seem threatening, and it was clear his expertise lied elsewhere. You groaned internally. It was humiliating being kidnapped by a tech club.

"He kept telling me that he was pushing you out of his life because 'it was the right thing' or whatever. Like, dudette, don't you think that's so stupid?" You looked down at your body—which was bound to a pole—then over to the drone that was grounded—literally.

"But it got us both in this situation."

"But you're, like, my mom! At least you would be if stupid Donnie didn't cause that fight to push you away." Your ears perked up at that.

"He caused that fight on purpose?"

"Shut up!" Kendra shouted from her spot above you. You all were stationed in a warehouse on the outskirts of town, away from prying eyes and out of earshot—you checked. She was on a catwalk above you, trying to hide in the shadows so you were the first thing Donnie sees. Jason and Jeremy were several yards away from you, their laptops opened to test the Transmitter as soon as Donnie brought it. They were excitedly mumbling to each other about their evil plans and what they planned to attack first with the technology that could supposedly 'hack the planet'. It was a geek's wet dream.

"You guys make my skin crawl," you called out to the boys. They both stopped to stare at you, both pushing their glasses up their nose. "Like seriously, keep it in your pants." Your arrogant ass had been taunting them since they kidnapped you here, and you'd been beaten up because of it, but it didn't stop the flurry of insults. Despite the pain, the pleasure you felt from mocking them made the situation better. Mildly.

"You mock us despite our clear intellectual supremacy?" Jason quipped, clearly trying to sound smart. You didn't bother trying to hide your laughter at his expense, which shocked him enough to break the condescending look he was going for.

"Only one person is actually 'intellectually superior', and he's a turtle." Your snark was palpable.

"Well we still tricked you into coming here!" Jeremy said, crossing his arms to seem tough.

"Congratulations, you figured out I care about Donnie's drone unlike you heartless monsters." You would've sarcastically clapped if your hands were untied.

"Jeremy, gut her," Kendra said, her joy obvious. You glared at Jeremy as he walked closer, pulling a small knife out.

"Don't touch her!" Shelldon shouted, his engine whirring as he tried to pull out of his cuff.

"Jeez, what happened to being petty criminals?" you asked, trying to stall for time. From what Donnie had told you on one of your multiple sleepovers, they'd never done anything as drastic as kidnapping and torture. Jeremy stopped, gripping the knife tightly as he glared down at you. He still wasn't intimidating, but with that weapon in his hand, you decided to keep your witty quips to yourself.

"Donnie's interfered with our business too many times," he said.

"Ominous," you mumbled. "And so by killing me, you'll get back at him?"

"He's never had a discernible weak spot before," Kendra spoke up. "And you deserve to have that smart mouth of yours silenced."

"I'll take that as a compliment. Thanks, Ken!" Your smile looked too sarcastic because Jeremy punched you with the hand holding the knife. You grunted, hissing between clenched teeth as dark red blood trickled down your side where the knife nicked you. He was the only one in the group with actual muscle, but even despite this, you forced a smile onto your face. "You all hit like bitches." Your head was knocked back as another punch landed on your jaw.
