' can you chill the fuck out for like a second and explain? '

CELENA WILSON WAS GOING TO KILL PERCY JACKSON. At least that way, she didn't have to go through this shit again. She was going to kill Percy Jackson and then mourn at his funeral pyre for a few hours and then walk away. Actually, she was going to skip away. Yeah that's right. Skip.

As she stood on the deck, watching him hobble around like a sick old man, as he kept muttering, "Charleston." Now, if this was any other day, Celena would've pretended to care for his well-being. But it wasn't like any other day. No, she was still mad at Grace. So mad she wouldn't even look at him. And that was affecting her mood.

"Can you chill the fuck out for a second and explain?" Celena snapped, her patience wearing thin. If she had Leo's pyrokinesis, she was sure that her hair would burst into flames and steam would emit from her ears, like a cartoon character when they got angry.

Percy didn't answer her and Celena had half a mind to storm up to him and strangle him. That part of her mind was winning before Frank unzipped his backpack and started pulling out souvenirs.

"Some peach preserves. A couple of T-shirts. A snow globe. And, um, these not-really-Chinese handcuffs." Frank muttered. That's it. Now both of them will die a horrible, painful, excruciating death.

Annabeth—bless her soul—noticing Celena's anger that was barely hidden well, spoke first, her voice eerily calmer than Celena would've liked. "How about you start from the top—of the story, not the backpack."

They all walked to the quarterdeck where Leo was navigating the ship. Celena was next to Hazel and Frank, a few steps ahead of Grace. As they stood near Leo, Percy and Frank took turns relating what had happened at the Georgia Aquarium, with Coach Hedge interjecting from time to time: "That was awesome!" or "Then I kicked her in the head!"

When Percy explained about the captive sea creatures in the aquarium, Celena was calmed down enough to speak without cursing anybody. "How could they just treat those poor creatures like that? I know that some of them helped..." Celena swallowed. "But that doesn't mean they deserve to be treated like that."

Percy nodded, his eyes distant as he glanced at Leo flicking some switches and pressing some buttons. "I know. But we've seen animals getting treated harshly for awhile now, haven't we?"

The locked zoo animals in that van, the flesh-eating horses that were bred for slaughter, the endangered hippo-something that was forced to give up their eggs for omelettes.
