Chapter 1

                     DELLA

On the way to Arrdiva, sitting inside a carriage arranged by myself, I thought about the incident once again. I'm Della Fairley, the first daughter of Clement Fairley and Linda Fay. Everything was great until my sister was born. Siblings do argue and quarrel with each other but in the case of me & my sister Sybil,not just argue with me but also my parents supports her. As time passed, I  stoped giving attention to Sybil. As I was good at studies I was able to study in Arrdiva, the centre of the country. I was one of the few students who get to go there from Elors. Even though I achieved so much my parents always adored Sybil. They were literally blinded by love.....
                      Everything changed when one day Sybil was sick and didn't took any medicine. " I'll give you anything honey, please take the medicine " as Dad said that I saw a smirk on her face. She asked for my room to stay until she's not sick anymore. I reluctantly agreed. She moved into my room and me to hers. Her room was a mess. I even saw some cockroaches. I cleaned it up and after one week she moved back to her room. By that time I had already cleaned her room. When I entered my room, my jaw dropped. It was a mess. Also she ruined the ball dress my dad gave to me to attend the party, so that I'll find a good partner for myself. It's not that I'm eager for a marriage or a partner, my parents want me to marry as soon as possible to a rich nice man so that their second daughter's life is also secure. But the ball dress was another story. It costed more than anything in our house. My mom's two ball dresses were auctioned off for money and dad gave everything he had on that dress. I rushed into her room, as she saw me she began to laugh. I lost it.... I completely lost it. I slapped her so hard before she could stop laughing and that slap made her fall from her bed.  But my parents still took her side. " She ruined the dress and you are blaming me ?" I was so angry at everyone. She started to act like an angel again. Ohhh..... I just wanna slap her once more. " I don't care Della, she's your sister, she's younger than you"....... The argument went on and my dad said something terrible. " Della I'm sick of your reasons I wish you were never born ". There was a big silence among us. Tears rolled down through my cheeks, dripping from my chin. I walked out of the room and went inside mine. I closed the door for some time and packed almost everything and told my guard to arrange a carriage for me. When I was about to step into the carriage mom stopped me but I was not going to stay there to see another drama. The one thing that bothered me was dad didn't even say a word after that. He could have said sorry, maybe as the richest count among the Elors people his dignity was more important than his own daughter.
                      As I opened my eyes I was already in Arrdiva. The carriage stopped infront of the exact destination as I said. " Della" a warm hug caught my attention. It was Alice Mayfield, my bestfriend in Arrdiva." It must be a tiring travel for you as it takes about 3 days to reach here right? Let me make you some tea." I nodded as we both carried my luggage inside. I saw grandma Elizabeth & I hugged her. " You have grown up so much... I missed you my child. Tell me what happened , you look sad ". She was right anyone could tell that from my face. As we were sipping tea I told them everything. " So what is your goal my child? Just staying away from them will give you temporary relief but you must go back when the time comes. Afterall you are a Fairley". I couldn't say anything to grandma, she was right, there will be a time that I must go back. I don't even know why I came here. I have been here for years for my studies. But this time it feels like I'm destined to be here.
                      Meanwhile, Arrdiva was facing a serious issue. The present ruler of Arrdiva is Clara El Lamont. She's 93 years old . She was selected as the ruler by her own husband Luther El Lamont. Now it's time to give the throne to the suitable one. Arrdiva was a place covered by mountains from the both sides and one side was open to Ocean. One of the mountains was known as Arrdiva mountains while the other as Dark valley. Arrdiva was the one and only nation which allowed women to be the ruler also the suitable one can rule the nation even if they are not from the royal family. The rule didn't make any sense but a meeting was conducted in between the four sons of the queen Francis El Lamont who was already 72 and Known as the best strategist in the country. The second son  Claude El Lamont , who is 68 years old and the best warrior among the four brothers. Bernard El Lamont the third son of Lamont family, who was 65 years old and was incharge of the importing and exporting  goods. Wallace El Lamont the fourth son and was 63 years old and looked like in his early 40s who had a nice impression among people and was incharge of the taxes that must be collected from each state. As the elder son, first chance to speak goes to Francis. Francis rejected the throne as his wife was the one and only princess from another country and as they don't allow women to be the heir to the throne her husband is obliged to do the duty. His reason was reliable and there was a good life waiting for him. Second son Claude El Lamont, he worked for the queen as a commander in general. He was the well known warrior among them. He also rejected the throne. He asked for a peaceful life in Arrdiva mountains with his family. All he did this far was to win battles and bring victory to Arrdiva now he wants to retire. He also asked for the full authority over Arrdiva mountains. Most people won't go there as there were so many wild animals. Everyone thought it was foolish of him but the actual reason for asking the authority over the mountains was because there were numerous caves which contains all kinds of gemstones and now his family owns it and he can lend money to nations if he wants.
                      3rd and fourth brothers were not gonna give up on the throne. So the queen asked for some time to analyse their activities so far and thus the meeting was dispersed. Both of them went home to share this news. Bernard and his wife started to plan on things. When Wallace shared it to his family his wife was silent , his twin boys Hayden and Hunter suggested him to stop drinking as others can see him as an unfit heir. Actually the twins said that to save their mother. Whenever he's drunk he beats her and when he wake up he doesn't remember anything. It happened countless times. After the boys grown up they would stop him before something goes wrong.
