Chapter 4

                         DELLA

The departure of the fourth prince made a commotion amongst the head families and, the third prince Bernard was now sure that he'll become the next King. For an official conference the queen sent an invitation to all the head families including mine, the Fairleys. Queen also announced it right after the funeral was held. Alice also got an invitation. Now I have to accompany her. I'll probably meet my father there, then I don't know how to react or how will I react. I'll try my best to stay away from him. The conference was held in 2 days. So all the people who represent the head families were compelled to stay in Arrdiva.
                     On the day of the conference I accompanied Alice. We wrote our names in a visitor's book. Usually the visitor's book is placed when an important conference is held. Both of us went inside the castle. We were led to a huge conference hall. Just before entering a guard announced that the conference was delayed for an hour, so we decided to see the castle around. It was a magnificent place. The ceilings were filled with painting of sky and Angels. It felt so real, the walls were made by stones and the history of Arrdiva was carved on it. The floor was neat and clean. A big red carpet was on the floor which gave the whole scenary a grand look. It was the first time I have ever seen a castle.
                     Then I noticed a place where outsiders were prohibited. It was a room clearly inside that room there is something. The room itself was different from others. Now not only outsiders are prohibited but also the four prince in the royal family were prohibited. Definitely a mysterious room. Alice went back to the conference hall as I wandered inside the castle. If I go back with her, I could meet my father. So I'll get inside just before the conference will start. So he can't talk to me. After that we will go back to home as soon as possible. I noticed we are the only ones that is younger in the entire invited group. As Alice's parents died she was obliged to go every conference, ball party etc. Even though her grandmother is alive she's too weak to travel. Sometimes I feel bad for her. She doesn't even got a nice time as a teenager, now that she's in her early 20s she's still doing her duties. I wish she might take rest some day.
                     I was covering the top floors of the castle , that's when I saw my father. I immediately ran down through the stair and I reached the final staircase. As I looked forward I saw a man who I have never seen before. Immediately I understood who it was. The King of dark valley. It's not because I know him personally , but he had the brooch with a symbol and the soldier that I met in the forest on the way to Arrdiva. He and his companions were looking at me. I heard footsteps from above, I knew it was my father I ran towards him, when I reached down there were no place to hide. The conference was held in second floor but I ran to the ground now there is no place to hide. I was looking everywhere to hide but there was nothing. This whole time they were looking at me in confusion. Finally I did something unimaginable. I hide behind him, the king of dark valley. I could hear him giggling, but I wanna escape from my father. He leaned towards the walls facing the stair upwards and his guards were surrounding him which made me a perfect place to hide. As my father got down he asked one of his guards whether they saw a girl running towards them. The guard pointed towards the royal garden and father ran towards it. As he left I was so relieved. The next thing I saw was the most handsome face close to mine. In a deep voice he said " that's a lot of guts, I like it though ". He left me there speechless.
                     I managed to get into the conference hall and sat beside Alice. But my mind was still downstairs. His fair toned skin and sharp jawline, with a perfect shaped nose and raven colored hair and his eyes, Ohh my gosh.... It was prettiest thing I have ever seen. The unique Amber coloured eyes which was shining due to sunlight. Amber coloured eyes are rare in Arrdiva, it's my first time meeting someone with those magical eyes. I wanna see him again. I wanna touch his face ....... No wait what am I even thinking. As I sat there and queen started the speech and my whole attention was on searching this person. I couldn't see him anywhere. It was kind of disappointing that I couldn't find him at all. So I began to pay attention to the queen.
