Chapter 16

DELLA

It's been 2 days since I met Lucian. Sybil is clearly jealous of me that she cling onto him whenever she sees him. She might be thinking that it will make me frustrated but actually I don't care. I feel nothing for him. Lucian asked me out for a date, as we didn't get much time to talk to eachother. At first I was not interested but later I thought this is an oppertunity. I told Lucian that there is a festival in Arrdiva where people sell flowers and sweets for about a week. It's not a big festival it's celebrated by just a part of Arrdiva. He agreed to pick me up. My real intention was not to attend the party but to see the Fairley mansion. Selene and Adonis Fairley, I need to know who they were.
                      I was all set to go out and Lucian send me a carriage. It was three day travel to Arrdiva and we talked a lot. Talking to Lucian made me a little relieved. But it was nothing more than a friendly chat. Nothing like Zander, his words ,his voice which made me wet, I want to stop thinking about him but I'm not able to. After three days of travel we stayed in a luxurious inn. Even though Yearwood family doesn't rule the country, they had enough wealth to take care of the entire Arrdiva. My father was clearly attracted to the money.
                      Next day we both went to the festival. I was not in a mood to enjoy the festival but Lucian bought me a lot of sweets and roses with a perfect tint of blush. I was happy that he takes care of me, But at the same time I was not into him. My eyes always searched desperately for Zander's face, my lips trembled in the thought of him leaving me. Everything felt colourless and tasteless. We reached infront of the Fairley mansion. Lucian stopped me and pulled me closer to him, but I pushed him away.
" Who is it? Tell me Della. " Lucian looked at me expressionless. I invited him inside of the mansion to talk about everything. We settled in the piano room, my favourite. I told him about Zander. He was good to me, I can't hide and use him as my father wishes. After hearing everything, he was kind of surprised because I was in love with Dark valley king. Lucian assured me that he must have his own problems and also my timing was not that perfect too. But I was not gonna forget that he killed those innocent souls. Before leaving, Lucian told me something, " Della, you look like someone I know years back when I was just a kid. You look like the grown up version of her. The daughter of Selene and Adonis Fairley."
I must say my jaw dropped. The vision I saw was not a dream, it was real. They had a daughter. If it's right then I must find her and also the reason why she's not living in the mansion.
