❝ C'EST LA VIE ❞
[ HARLEM, NY ]As the car cruised along the early morning streets, Juan found himself nestled in the backseat, seeking a moment of respite. Weary from the previous night's spent explaining everything to Malik and Roscoe, he delicately rested his head on the chair's headrest, hoping to snatch a few extra moments of sleep. However, the relentless sun, already ascending on the horizon, breaking his plans, casting bright beams through the window that danced on his drowsy face. Just as he began drifting into a light slumber, a gentle tap on his shoulder roused him from his daze. It was Pedro, seated next to him, trying to keep Juan awake. Although slightly annoyed, Juan mustered a patient smile, acknowledging Pedro's concern, and then skillfully dismissed the gesture with a dismissive kiss of his teeth.
In the early morning haze, Juan felt an overwhelming weariness that seemed to seep into every fiber of his being. Despite the hour, he found himself caught up in car ride meetings, trying to stay alert and attentive as the day began. The reason for these early gatherings became evident as Pedro's involvement was revealed. Sosa, immersed in important business matters in Detroit, had entrusted Pedro with delivering a critical message to Juan. With a sense of duty, Pedro shared Sosa's next move and plan: they were to make an appearance at Wayne's birthday celebration, joining forces once again with Sincere and his crew. Despite his exhaustion, Juan knew that this upcoming event held significance and required careful consideration prompting him to prepare for the challenges that lay ahead with a blend of caution and diplomacy.
"Wayne's birthday is a big deal. You gotta be ready for anything and, most importantly, find a way to get closer to the niece. She'll need a partner." With a stern and serious tone, Pedro relayed a warning to Juan about the upcoming day, signaling the importance of being prepared. Although Juan welcomed the prospect of having Malik and Roscoe by his side, a nagging concern gnawed at him— the lack of money. He knew that to make tomorrow's venture successful, he needed to continue selling, just as he always did, but now with an expanded range of products. The thought of meeting the increased demand weighed heavily on his mind, fueling a mixture of determination and apprehension. Despite the challenges ahead, Juan remained resolute, knowing that with his friends' support and a strategic approach, he could navigate the uncertainties and make the most of this opportunity.
"I don't give a fuck man, as long as by the end of the day I get what I deserve and that's product, connect, the juice." Juan started listing every possible gift idea, determined that their present for him should outshine what others were offering. He despised wasting time when he could be using it to earn more money. Pedro watched him with a serious expression as Juan leaned back, pulling down his cap to catch a few extra moments of rest. One aspect of Juan that bothered Pedro was his clarity of purpose; it was challenging to manipulate him because he always knew what he wanted. Pedro couldn't quite comprehend what Sosa saw in Juan, other than his impressive sells skills.
