[ HARLEM, NY ]Quietly pulling into the driveway of her apartment, Roki reflected on all her past decisions, realizing she had no job and no way out anymore. She was depressed, and leaving this place for good felt like the only option. With the clock showing 1 AM, Roki stared at it before relaxing in Diamond's passenger seat. The ride was silent, just the two of them. They'd been more like work rivals, especially with Diamond always feeling like she was in competition with her. But Roki had to respect her, because unlike the friend she thought she had, Diamond was the first to actually help. Though she'd cleaned the blood off on the way home, her body still ached from the pain. She finally spoke, "I'm moving to Miami. Ima find a way to get there, but I need to leave and start over." Her voice was soft, still frozen by everything that happened, while Diamond turned to look at her.
"That's not a bad idea, I got a cousin down there who works at a strip club. She could hook you up," Diamond suggested, trying to help Roki out with a solid lead. Diamond had just gotten fired from Lucky's herself for stepping in, but she couldn't just leave the city. She had a kid to take care of and good family support here, even though she was feeling stuck. With Lucky's connections all over, it wasn't clear if she could even find another club to work at. Still, she'd have to figure it out somehow. Roki appreciated the referral—it was kind of nice—but she had major trust issues from all the trauma she'd been through. Plus, without a passport or any ID, she wasn't sure how she'd even make a move.
"I can't, I have no passport nor ID. I have no way to go there and no identity to truly start over. I can't even open a bank account since I'm missing all of my essential cards. This is fucking shitty," Roki spat out, thinking about the decision she just made and feeling let down. Her overthinking started to take over as she looked back at Diamond with growing anger. "You know what? You could've left me alone. I would've been okay! Now we're jobless and I can't get shit back!" Roki began scolding Diamond for her decision, though the idea of Scar helping her get her cards back was still in the back of her mind, unsure if she could trust him either. Diamond stared at her blankly for a moment before her own anger flared. "Are you serious, bitch?! I helped you fucking out, lost my job, meaning money! You know what? You can take all of your shit as well as your ugly ass tears and get your ungrateful ass the fuck out of my car!" Diamond pointed her fingers at her, opened the passenger door, and shoved Roki out, rushing her to get out as her frustration boiled over.
