NOT A SAINT
[ HARLEM, NY ]

Lounging in his private office, Sosa reclined with a cigar in his mouth, savoring the rare moments of privacy. He reflected on life, contemplating how it used to be when he was a newcomer to the game. The regrettable truth was that he had succumbed to the darker side, realizing that the power he wielded externally surpassed his initial expectations. To attain such influence and respect, he had committed heinous acts, actions he often tried to numb with alcohol. Despite the toll it took, Sosa remained unyielding, willing to sacrifice and harm others in pursuit of his deepest desires, believing that life demanded extreme measures for true fulfillment.

The doors swung open abruptly, revealing Pedro entering accompanied by a private investigator they had enlisted, along with a handful of personal bodyguards. Pedro seated himself in front of Sosa's desk, while the private investigator took a chair beside him, emphatically placing the files in his hand on Sosa's desk. Sosa shifted his attention, retracting his legs from the desk, readjusting his posture, and slowly opening the files. The files contained numerous pictures, primarily focusing on Wayne as he was Sosa's primary target. The images captured Wayne engaged in discussions with suppliers, inside his warehouse, participating in private gambling activities, and various incriminating situations that could potentially lead to imprisonment. Sosa's face broke into a wide smile; he reveled in what he was witnessing, finally obtaining the evidence he had been seeking. The hiring of the private investigator, with a history of engaging in crimes and street smarts to access sensitive information, had proven instrumental in testing the extent of Juan's actions.

Sosa had never doubted Juan, but he believed taking matters into his own hands would be easier. He sensed Juan getting deeply involved with Emauni, which he considered detrimental to business and something he aimed to prevent. Ideally, he wanted Juan to be one of his top associates. The collection of pictures also included shots of Emauni physically confronting Juan, and Sosa couldn't help but snicker at the sight of those images. "Good job, Ron. Nice doing business with you, as always." Acknowledging the private investigator, Sosa removed the cigar from his mouth, offering a sign of respect with a nod of gratitude. Pedro handed over the money, neatly stacked in a small bag, placing it on the investigator's lap. This was the straightforward way they conducted their business. "The real question is, what are you gonna do with those?" Ron inquired, seeking a comprehensive response. While he grasped the notion of business rivalry and knew Sosa wasn't one to betray his associates, curiosity compelled him to understand the reasons behind gathering such incriminating evidence.
