❝ LIFE OF THE GAME ❞
[ HARLEM, NY ]"One, two, three, stand up." The discreet female aide supported Roscoe, gripping one of his arms, while Malik did the same with his other arm, assisting him in getting up from the sofa despite his injured leg. Earlier in the morning, he had managed to clean his wound after Sincere had sent her to help. Rico, Santos, BJ, Juan, and Sincere, along with one of his associates, stood around, closely observing Roscoe's movements. They all wanted to ensure he received proper care. Although the boys were aware they were running late for school, Juan wasn't bothered, as long as he made it to school before lunch; that was all that mattered to him, as he didn't want to waste time listening to the principal. Roscoe then took deliberate steps towards the corner of the living room, being mindful of his balance to prevent any discomfort.
"Much better now?" While tidying up her tools and materials on the table, the woman inquired, all the while keeping a watchful eye on Roscoe, who responded with a smile when he met her gaze. "Much better, baby." Roscoe responded with a wink and a subtle smirk, causing the others to chuckle and playfully tease him for his habit of flirting with women he found attractive, which in this case, was certainly warranted. She was undeniably stunning, with a beautiful brown complexion and an alluring figure. However, she reminded herself that Roscoe was much younger, leading her to playfully roll her eyes before returning to her tasks. "You good to go back to work?" Santos approached Roscoe, taking deliberate steps to get closer and fixing a direct gaze on him, hoping to discern any signs of deception.
Santos had an unparalleled understanding of Roscoe in that room, able to discern his honesty and seriousness due to their deep connection as blood cousins and essentially brothers. Santos had played a paternal role in Roscoe's life, teaching him and their friends everything he knew. Roscoe acknowledged Santos with a nod and then moved toward the couch by the window, placing his hoodie there and putting on another one as he began to prepare himself. Despite the limp from his injury, Roscoe had already undergone the process of removing and cleaning the bullet, setting him on a path to healing, which was certainly a better state than having a lodged bullet causing harm. — Juan rested against the staircase, offering him an optimal viewpoint to closely monitor the situation, paying more attention to Roscoe's actions than ever before, while Malik stood next to him, blowing Erica's phone with calls.
