Chapter 1: Jake's test run

Universe: Earth-531

Location: Reno, NV

I roll my eyes into the back of my skull as my mom lectures me about how "this can take you places" and "acceptance to Harvard". I just wanted to see what the multiverse had to offer there's not much else to it. 

but alas, we finally arrive at the test facility. I looked behind me and reassured my little sister that everything will be fine as she tightly grabbed her bingo plushie from the hit show "bluey".  

when we got inside we saw a separate room that the vr was connected to. it was then connected to a particle accelerator to open a gateway to the multiverse. "all you have to do is not go into that room. okay? you can explore other places but not in there." I explained to my sister as I kneeled down"

finally it was time. when I put on the headset, a blast of white light flashed onto me. then I heard my sister screaming and crying I blacked out before I could take the headset off. the last thing I heard was my mother telling my sister to get away...

AFTERMATH. MOM POV

all eyes were on the room holding my son. I got defensive; afraid of the unknown. "what happened. where is my son?!" the lack of response started to make me hysterical so I began clawing at the seems of the door with physicists trying to calm me down.

head scientist: "would you just LET ME TALK TO HER????"

"her? what do you mean HER?"

to which he responded with a sharp inhale and a "stfu" face. I was then able to get a grip on myself temporarily.

the scientist opened the door to reveal my son huddled in the corner visibly afraid "hi there. Can you tell me your name?" the scientist said in a calming voice.

my sons response shook everyone in that room.

"B-b-bin-go."
