Worries spilled

-So, I met this dude...

Leon did not want to share his little nighttime adventure he had been going through for the last two days. He felt like it was not necessary and would only make his siblings worry more. However, he also understood that not telling them would make him look very suspicious and overflow them in the feeling of extreme distrust from his side. A small dilemma occurred here: should he share the little story or lie and keep it all to himself?

Both of the variants had their cons that were keeping Leo from choosing them, so he decided on the third option: share only a part of the story, keeping the information he didn't want to be known to himself.

Although it felt like he was thinking for too long, his brothers seemed to have a lot of patience, if we ignore the Raph-chasm making its way onto the said sibling's face. Leo finally continued what he started:

- He was sitting alone and looked pretty down, also he was pretty cute, and I felt like talking with someone, so I decided it would be nice to have a small chat with him, and I was right! It was nice and he was nice, and he's pretty cool too, cuz he likes, nope, LOVES good ole JJ. Bro is a huge fan, just like me, so we spent solid 2 hours (maybe more) talking non-stop and then we said our goodbyes and now I'm here, - Leo let out, not pausing once to catch a breath, hence why he was breathing in a rapid manner, consuming quite the amount of air with each breathe he took. If any of the siblings zoned out during that hell of an explanation, they would have missed out a significant amount of information. After a minute or so of processing what Leo threw at his brothers with a speed of an express train, they started showing some reactions, mostly confusion. Donnie is an exception here, since they had a somewhat smug expression, with his eyebrow raised and eyes half-lidded, showing that the guy suspected that kind of a situation happening to his twin.

- What about the other 2 or so hours that you weren't in the lair? - you would think Donnie couldn't raise his eyebrow higher, only if you didn't know him, because right now their eyebrow was challenging a Guinness world record of raising eyebrows (if there even is such a record) on his forehead. That was more than enough to show the suspicion growing in them. Imagine how Donnie would be confused with such an achievement: would they be proud or offended?

Returning to Leo, who felt like he was shrinking under his twin's judgmental gaze, he somehow managed to let out a small reply.

- I was just running around the city, that's all, don't worry, - the blue turtle said, gathering back his usual reliance on his face. The way his face manages to go from an alarmingly anxious expression to his usual swag one stays a fascinating mystery for everyone.

Donnie did not believe him. Of course, he would not believe Leo! Sure, Donnie was impressively bad at lying, but that didn't stop them from being a master at reading other people's lack of truthfulness. He decided not to address it however, understanding that their brother did not want to share more and surely would NOT share more, finding a way to dodge and avoid the question. He would get to the bottom of it later, for he had important tech-upgrades waiting for them. Donnie's expression fell back to his usual poker face, making Mikey and Raph relax a bit. If Donnie was not opposing, then there were no reasons for them to oppose either, they just let Leo know that they were worried. Although the brothers were concerned with Leo's sudden disappearance, they still were glad that Leo seemed to be finally moving on. It has been 3 years since the invasion and he hadn't once got out for longer than an hour or caught interest in anyone, so seeing how Leo was finally getting out of that cave of depression and sorrow for sure warmed their hearts and calmed their demeanor.

That was until Raph snapped, realizing that Leo's got a crush.

- Wait, wait, wait, wait! WHO is that guy?
