Let's leave the poor boy alone for now, the realization can wait a bit longer before hitting, right? Right.
The realization hit harder than the angered Kraang once did. Leon's face heating up more and more, further he thought of the warmth of the rabbit. He seriously started considering that he might be having a fever with the way his palms were sweating rivers and his heart was beating a mile per second. Yuichi's fur was soft and pleasant to touch, sending shivers along Leo's spine as he remembered the long-lasting embrace. Only after the rabbit ran off in a hurry, he realized that he was leaning, practically snuggling, into the warm touch of the yokai at that moment, and it made him so embarrassed with himself. How could he feel so at home with the person he only met 2 days ago? Yuichi surely had a very welcoming nature of his smile and his figure seemed very soft in its features, but could Leo reason his unreasonable trust to the hare like that? Personally, I think he could. However, we are looking at the situation from Leon's point of view and he found the trust, he was very quick to place upon the hare, along with the security he felt in Yuichi's embrace, troubling, unreasonable, wrong and faulty. OK, let me correct myself: Leo's rationality thought that way. Leo himself was engulfed in pleasure. Why did he need to care about problems, if he felt so good around Yuichi? The Usagi felt very trustworthy and Leo's gut was telling him, that befriending the hare was a very very very very good idea. Or maybe the butterflies inside that gut. It didn't matter, because Leo haven't felt this good around a person, other than his family, in a very long time. 3 years to be specific.
As Leonardo's rationality was fighting his feelings, Leo's phone in the front right pocket of his joggers started vibrating violently, causing the relaxed turtle to jump from his seat with shock. Hastily taking out the vibrating device, while his hand was shaking along with it, Leon looked at the lit up screen in search of a name of the brother, who was getting a revenge from the blue ninja later. It was indeed one of his siblings, but seeing as it was the red one, Leo's idea of a revenge got shattered in pieces. Raph was worried, so Leo couldn't get himself to get angry with her, however he still would attempt at getting his vengeance from him.
Leo picked up, preparing to hear a worried sibling shouting into the phone. At this kind of moments Leo thanked nature for not giving him outer ears, because lacking those made his hearing weaker, when compared to humans, which really helped with the loudness of the Hamato family.
- Leo!, - here comes the shouting Raph, - where are you? What's taking you so long? Why aren't yo-
- Hold on, big brother! One question at a time.
A long sigh was heard from the other side of the line, which was followed by a calmer tone if the same snapping turtle's voice.
- OK, you're right. Uh, first, where are you?
- I'm at the national park.
Short responses became a habit for the blue clad turtle, since he didn't enjoy phone calls as much, as the other siblings might have.
- Alright, eh.. Is bunny boy with you?
- Nope, he just left, said he needed to get his sister or something.
- Ooh- Are they coming later? - Raphie's voice seemed to go a bit higher in pitch, showing his enthusiasm rising, thinking about one more guest coming. Leo could imagine the way his sister's tail was wagging, crashing any object or person standing nearby, which made a smile creep on his face.
- I don't think so. He was wearing his job uniform, I bet ya, he's gonna head straight to work.
- Heading straight will be a bit hard, huh?
HUH?
Did Raph, Raphael, the oldest of the Hamato brothers, the number 2 hater of Leon's puns, joke about his friend being gay and included a pun there? Unbelievable! A loud and dramatic gasp was a response to Raph's joke, with loud laughter heard from the other line, accompanied with a more muffled one, indicating that it wasn't coming only from Raphael.
