There is a possible overstimulation described at the start of the chapter, after it nothing too harsh though.
Honestly, I'm not even sure if that's really overstimulation, but the point is that Yuichi has some nasty thoughts about himself.
The end of the chapter should kind of compensate for it??
Sillies are being gay sillies, one of them is in denial, the other just too dense to understand yet.
Anyways, enjoy!
He meant kind of cute.
-Pizza incoming! - Michelangelo's happy voice rang through the kitchen with a pile of pizza boxes threatening to fall, bending in the opposite direction to the way the orange turtle turns, trying to make their way to the kitchen counter. It would be a shame, if all those precious pieces of heaven fell, getting plastered all over the floor, but let me assure you, Mikey won't let that happen using his flexibility and ninjacity for his advantage.
Yuichi sat at the farthest corner of the kitchen table, waiting resignedly for the meal he was threatened to. He was better off playing his little obedient bunny self, because he really did not want to get to the neither of the turtle brothers' bad side. Oh, he really didn't want to be on their naughty list, because his intuition was telling them, they would regret it a lot. Sure, the 4 mutants sharing the room with him were very friendly, which made him thank his Kami for it, however, they were the ones, who saved the world from the Kraang, which was not some news for anyone. They were the youngsters, who fought on equals with the thousand years old aliens and actually succeeded in rescuing the entire planet! The amount of respect Yuichi held for the turtles was balancing with the intimidating energy he received from them, compensating each other and keeping Yuichi in a remotely calm state of mind. If the respect and admiration overweighted the second party, he would be bouncing around on his butt, squealing and crying, or fanboying in short. If the fear and anxiety overweighted, he would be rapidly rocking back and forth in the farthest corner of the room. Neither of the outcomes were desirable for the young samurai, who treasured dignity and honor as much, as the Jupiter Jim comic books and movies he owned. He still was a descendant of a respected, although close to forgotten, clan of Miyamoto, so keeping himself together was something he learnt as a child, and something he was very used to, even though he did let that attitude slip sometimes (not on purpose!). Right then, was a moment dangerously close to it. He experienced a literal anxiety attack (possibly mixed with a panic attack) about an hour ago! If it wasn't for Raphael's kind heart and older sibling instincts, which Yuichi was extremely grateful for, the hare would definitely hurt himself in some way, just to be able to stop himself, which of course was bound to fail. He knew it from how much of those states of mental vulnerability he had gone through during the last 3 years. Although Yuichi had been dealing with his anxiety for quite the amount of time now, they still had no clue on how to stop or prevent the anxiety attacks from happening, neither did he know the direct causes for them. It was obvious that Yuichi was drowning in guilt and shame, notwithstanding that he was very thankful for the help he was receiving from the ninja brothers. Getting out of a debt to Big Mama, which was not exactly a way to really get rid of it, he was getting himself into another debt. Leo and his brothers were very generous and did not have any ill will behind their offer, Yuichi knew that. Then what was troubling him so much?
Guilt is an only answer.
Yuichi felt guilty for asking for help. He felt guilty for even planning on using their support to get himself out of the situation THEY got himself into. They felt guilty for not being strong enough to handle it on his own. He felt guilty for not being able to be the reliable older brother for his sister. He felt guilty for leaving his aunt to die, when there was a possible way of saving her. He felt guilty for not knowing if his friends survived the invasion. Guilt was overwhelming the rabbit.
