atama ga warui - stupid or literally: your head is bad
harakiri is a form of Japanese ritualistic suicide by disembowelment. It was originally reserved for samurai in their code of honour, but was also practiced by other Japanese people during the Shōwa era(particularly officers near the end of World War II) to restore honour for themselves or for their families

That evening Yuichi returned to his apartment in a weird state. Hana observed her brother acting overly wary. On top of that, he seemed to be more fidgety than usual. His fur was all ruffled and chaotic, his tail and stance in general were extremely tense, and he wouldn't stop dropping things on the floor while packing. This triggered the little ninja's suspicion. Typically, Hana would have spied on Yuichi and made her own conclusions according to her observations, but throughout the time she lived with Yuichi, she realized that it's much easier to just ask him directly about his feelings. Otherwise, her conclusion could have been wrong and lead to her doing something bad and potentially harming. This mindset was quite of a surprise to observe in a kid like her, but considering how she was raised by fear, her cautiousness made sense.

Yuichi was clumsily folding his clothes into a small suitcase when Hana approached him.

-What is wrong with you today? - his sister asked, making Yuichi drop the haori in his hands on the floor.

-Hana! Oh, Kami, you scared me!

-That! You're so easy to startle lately, something is clearly bothering you.

-No! I'm fine, - Yuichi said and looked into Hana's eyes. Her penetrating gaze was giving out her impatience, which did a great job at pressuring Yuichi. It almost felt like Hana was growing in size the longer she stared at his face, so he gave up. -It's Leo. I upset him today and I'm still embarrassed about it.

-That's it?

-Well, I was a bad friend and betrayed him, so I feel even worse about also being mean to him for liking me. It's not like I did it on purpose! We used to joke about kissing and dating and everything like that all the time, but now it's awkward to do that!

-You used to what?!

-Yeah...

-No, I seriously missed that part, what did you do?

-Oh, - dumbfounded Yuichi, reluctantly repeated his words.

-Wow...Your atama ga really warui, Yuichi. How in the world did he end up liking you?!

-Rude.

-Well, what did you even say to him? - Hana asked to assess how bad the situation is.

Yuichi paused for a second before quietly mumbling:

-I joked about him being the only one to kiss me goodbye...

Which was enough for Hana's jaw to drop. She expected bad, but not this bad! She didn't even have words for Yuichi anymore.

-Yeah, I guess I really am dumb...

-I would have harakiri-ed myself right there if I was you.

At the both of them sighed. Yuichi was hopeless and Hana didn't know how to comfort her brother, especially considering how bad he messed up this time.

-Well...at least you're never seeing him again? – Hana let out in her attempt to support Yuichi.

-That's the problem! He's gonna come to the airport tomorrow!

Her attempt, as you see, was futile.

-Wow. Nope, I can't help you here, I'm just a 9-year-old girl that should be worried about her grades! Sorry...!
